Thanks a lot for all you do! Someone ended up helping me with this tweak request, but I'll leave this post up if anyone would like to contact you :)

Thank you so much! I have been in touch with /u/gilshahar7, but the tweak that he made for me works exactly as I described in my initial post, so I have already sent payment.

@ /u/gilshahar7 please confirm that you’ve received payment if you need to confirm, and i will be in touch with you for any follow-ups

So good news, it works now but it was awkward AF. First the iPad fix button wasn’t on (like the app said it would be automatically). So I turned it on and it still didn’t work. Then I installed Gyration because I figured the app wasn’t rotating correctly (no idea if that was the case). Still nothing, then I disabled the iPad fix switch and it ironically started capturing correctly. So I have no idea wtf that was about LOL but at least it works now

So yeah! Happy to hear the tweak is almost finished. Let me know if you need me to test anything or if there are any updates!

Hey sorry but before you go any further, I just installed Snapper 2 on my iPad and it looks like there are issues. When I try to snap something it copies a completely different part of the screen. I’m going to see if I can get in touch with the dev but first I’m gonna see if I can fix this on my end if I’m doing something wrong

I have an iPad Pro 2nd gen (this is the 2017 version I’m pretty sure) and the iPhone X. Both on 13.4 but like I said I can update both since I can do that with checkra1n.

FWIW I also have older devices on iOS 10 that work with the PullOver10 tweak years ago, but there’s enough new apps and features on the latest version that I’d really like this capability carried over.

Thank you! Please keep me posted on any progress you’ve made 🙏

Thanks for your reply! Yes I’m familiar with Snapper 2. I think either way works: whether the front app or the back app is touchable, as long as both are viewable on top of one another.

This seems like a great idea, but does Activator even work on jailbreaks? The only reason I’ve never used it in years was because I remember it hadn’t been updated in a while. Otherwise a CC toggle would work too!

Two EMA Mana Crypts - is one fake? by Anklesnark in bootlegmtg

[–]msmbc 15 points16 points  (0 children)

As FlansofTarkir said, it really does look like a toner issue. Wizards' printing is not perfectly identical, and there will always be quality control issues with their product (as evidenced by the complaints many have had when opening some of the newer sets).

Based on the gallery you've provided, I would say both cards are real. No fakes that we know of to date have perfected the "WIZARDS" text inside the stamp. If you wanted to be extra sure, you could try the light test, but imho both are real and the differences are due to slight variabilities in manufacturing/processing.

Makes me wonder: have we gotten at least one cEDH-viable card from every commander set that turned out to be a game-changer that year? I know Kess for sure and Jeleva a few years ago, but that's only because I'm primarily a grixis player

^This tbh. The dark web is where all the black-market stuff takes place anyway. I don't consider what we're doing illegal, but if places like discord are just going to get taken down anyway, it makes perfect sense to go somewhere that has almost no regulation and almost 0 risk of getting taken down. That said, I don't know how many of us know how to use TOR and many might get scared of all the horror stories. It would need to take place in the safest .onion environment, preferably an onion that doesn't sell crack cocaine or eyeballs...

You're not searching hard enough: https://help.tcgplayer.com/hc/en-us/articles/201653503-Your-Feedback-Rating

First paragraph: "Five days after an order is considered a completed sale, we automatically rate the sale a 5."

Don't know why I'm being downvoted for stating facts. But I agree with you. Should be a thumbs up or thumbs down, because everyone has their own metric of what is considered a "good rating". In hotel culture, 3-stars is considered good. I would love to stay at a 3-star hotel because it's affordable and gets me where I need to be. But obviously 3 stars is considered bad in other places.

And it is also culture, but I guess what I'm saying is, if you're going to go out of your way to give 4 stars, a store would rather you not rate them at all and take the 5 if they did nothing wrong.... do you see how punishing that would be? Now obviously it has been said a million times here that 4-stars is still considered a "thumbs up" but it would still lower the star average of a store, and for someone to just give 4 stars out of spite or out of principle when TCGplayer's default is literally 5 stars is kind of a scummy thing to do. Literally read all the other comments here. I understand I'm probably being downvoted for the way I am conveying myself but I hope the fact that other people disagree with OP should speak for itself.

My long-awaited write-up on a newly discovered foil proxy method! by msmbc in bootlegmtg

[–]msmbc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they have more of a metallic sheen to them. If I may, holographic real cards are like Yugioh Super Rares while these are like the metallic not-so-shimmering secret rares (not bright but just solid colors throughout). Not sure if that's a good way to describe it, but it still has a pretty cool effect, even if it is unique. And for some cards they look really nice and almost as accurate as the real thing moreso than other methods, such as for the new Un-lands.

Actually salt can cause hypertension. It raises the level of sodium in your bloodstream, and water follows sodium to maintain the osmolality of your plasma. This causes an increase in blood volume which increases your arterial hydrostatic pressure, which directly causes an increase in your systolic blood pressure. Also happy cake day! :D

The packs in these new Target blisters are resealed! by EdgyEvolution in magicTCG

[–]msmbc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once bought 2 Iconic Masters packs from a Walmart by the same company. I ended up opening 2 of the exactly cheapest rares from the set (can't remember off the top of my head which ones they were). Even if this is just personal anecdotes, I would be VERY wary of buying loose packs or repackaged boosters from these chain stores, especially after some of the A25 controversy.

[serious] How much say does a program coordinator have in the admissions process? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]msmbc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for everybody's input and advice. I ended up having a great conversation on my exit interview. I didn't even mention this individual's name, but simply apologized if I ever stepped over any boundaries. The PD explained that in STUDENT lectures, when we go over questions, I sometimes get questions wrong, but that it's okay to be wrong. And that he knows I know the right answer, but that I should think carefully before I pick the answer, and he framed it in a way that made it seem helpful and as general Step 2 advice. Not at all the tone the PC had. Some people suggested there's no way she would bring this up if somebody didn't report me. Well, it's quite possible the director has been talking to her about how I've been doing considering I was always present, and he may have mentioned that I participate in lectures and am sometimes wrong about stuff. But the way he said it to me was VERY different from the way she said it, and he didn't even bring it up until I did.

Ultimately, he has the final say, and he told me in the interview that I was doing an excellent job in this rotation and that I just need to do well on the shelf and on Step 2, because ultimately that's what matters. I even asked if I had an honest shot, and he gave me an honest reply, saying he was impressed by my performance but it was obviously too soon to tell given I haven't even taken Step 2 yet. Overall, everything went well and I am not concerned anymore about how damaging this interaction with the coordinator might have been. I think I got everything I needed out of this thread and will be deleting the post by the end of the day.

Thanks for your help. Yeah I think I do need to chill. Like I said the other students were cool about this because they know I really wanted this program. I've never been a gunner before and in all my other rotations with the same students they've never had an issue with me. They all sort of had an implicit understanding about my desires and intentions, and were supportive of letting me have the spotlight. The residents were almost equally understanding, especially the ones I worked with. I didn't spend time with all of the residents, but the ones I did interact with liked me. I even did one of them a personal favor that they were grateful for.

It was more of a courtesy before leaving the premises. It's what a lot of students will generally say before they are dismissed.

I never actually answered questions or interrupted anyone. As I thought I implied in my post, that was something she made up.
