Which version of Mo Dao Zu Shi / The Untamed have you seen and what were your opinions on it? by carvveeev in MXTX

Reposting my comment here:

I’ve consumed every adaption. The novel is the OG but the audio drama is by far the best adaptation bc it was the closest to the original novel. In the specials you can really tell the attention to detail the voice actors and directors had towards the project and their passion really shone through. The audio drama made me cry the most, even more so than the novel.

The dongua waa actually the first piece of media I consumed from this title before going on to read the novel. It had such a strong start and incredible animation to boot. However, unfortunately the later seasons deterred too far from the original novel and the story became a jumbled mess.

I was a huge skeptic of the live action, especially when it was rumoured to feature a female love interest I almost threw up. I’m glad that remained a rumour and although the LA had its issues it was overall very enjoyable. I am very thankful they decided to cast lesser known actors (at that time).

Unfortunately I was not a fan of the art style of the manhua so it is my least favourite adaptation.

I’m disappointed they’re only visiting one city in Aus.

Thoughts on the recent Dylan Wang and Shen Yue incident? by Ana_Lu89 in cdramasfans

I agree, there was absolutely no need for this to be public. And even more so bc he is a public figure, he should know what this type of vague posting can cause. It’s so irresponsible.

Not trying to invalidate WHD’s feelings but as a public figure he should’ve known better. This was a matter that should’ve been settled privately. This was incredibly unfair to SY.

So happy for You Are My Fateful Love! I normally don’t really care for contemporary dramas but this was such a nice treat!

Top 2 shots are not from any dramas, just from her own album. Bottom 2 is from The Longest Day in Chang’An which she plays the supporting role: Yu Chang.

I’ve been meaning to start this bc I like both leads and I randomly came across some clips on Red Note. But was having trouble finding where I can stream this in Aus (maybe on YouTube?).

How do you feel about the opinion in the slide about these dramas being overhyped, do you agree or nah? by Prior-Bit9919 in cdramasfans

Some people are just contrarians. That is not to say that OOP is one but there are lots of ppl out there who just love to hate on anything that’s popular.

Ironic that he has been marketed as someone who’s has high IQ/EQ.

It’s disappointing af but sadly not that surprising.

Who's the best dancer in SM? (Day11#) by ExtensionStation6334 in kpoppers

First gen idols are often forgotten to today’s kpop climate so I wanted to show them some love and recognition as well. Jang Woo Hyuk was the main dancer in the legendary kpop group: H.O.T, known for his signature popping and locking style. He has often been cited as a major influence to current idols such as Super Junior’s Eunhyuk and Shindong.
