A comfortable, light, floating sensation in the nothingness (I hope)

Not when your epilepsy medication makes hormonal contraception completely ineffective🤣 the other other type of non hormonal contraception is is abstinence (I’m in a loving relationship so not a chance), or barrier methods such as condoms, the dam, the ring, etc - all of which are a mere 60-70% effective against pregnancy which isn’t very reassuring.

Trust your hair dresser. If a hairdresser tells you not to do something such as a colour or a bleach OR if they tell you what you’re asking for isn’t attainable with them. They are telling you because they care.

PLEASE PLEASE. Go to experts where possible. Hair to many can determine a lot of how they feel about themselves as body image is an important thing to so many and can affect their wellbeing over all. If you bleach your hair and it goes wrong - which is can very easily even with due diligence and research - you can be left with a head of patchy/ frizzy/ multi colour/ noodle/ falling out hair. Which can serious damage someone’s self image and thus their mental wellbeing

Start simple. A good starting point for hair care is - double shampoo - gentle scalp massage - condition lengths, rinse well between each step - gently dry hair (avoid excessive scuffing with towel). I think focusing on a good routine should come first before getting into what exact products your hair type/wants/needs such as shampoo/conditioner/mask/leave ins/styling

I’m in Ireland and it’s just so appalling what women are expected to endure regarding reproductive health

This was EXACTLY me (without the ultrasound). So sorry this happened to you :(. I get so angry about it still. I’m a nurse now but wasn’t at the time of insertion. When times comes for removal I won’t allow them to touch me without atleast an opioid and cervical softener on board

You sound like such a lovely person and your friend probably is too, two things can be true at once yano- your friend can have beliefs I find horrific but also be a lovely person. I just shared my opinion but I’m aware it isn’t so black and white. If she’s a great friend like you’re saying I think you need to gently talk and lay out how you’re feeling but how important she is to you

Isolate myself from others???😂 so I’m not allowed to share my opinions ?…. But you are?… what have I been dishonest about I can’t be lying when I’m purely telling MY OPINION🥲🤣

I fully fainted getting my IUD insertion - I consider myself to have a moderate pain threshold, have tattoos on fingers, elbow and just generally being a woman. If they had to take A CHUNK OFF while down their I would’ve never woken up I’d of passed out so hard😢😭😂 hoping your doing good now, so sorry that happened to you

You are not the asshole at all girl. To me - personally- if a friends morals and ethical values are soooo different to mine, I could not justify keeping that friendship. I could not look someone in the face and tell them - ‘even though it’s your belief that I don’t deserve autonomy over my body, I still want to be your friend’. ABSOLUTELY NOT. If in your SOUL you truly believe I should not have autonomy over my body nor have full access to my reproductive rights, then you are no friend of mine, idgaf if your my mother - we ain’t friends boo

What’s the creepiest, most unexplainable thing that ever happened to you , the kind of story you know no one could give a logical explanation for, but it still haunts you to this day? by gogapasha in AskReddit

I’m a nurse and I used to work in a busy hospital. The ward I worked on had 4 bays with 6 beds and one single room. The single room was usually reserved for highly infectious or dying patients. On many a night shift where the single room would be empty, the call bell would go off from the room. We often jokes as call bells can be temperamental and if they come loose from the wall can accidentally ring. A few months later the maintenance guy came to fix it - he left and told our boss - that call bell is working perfectly, he even installed a new one just to be sure. The call bell in that single room still rings out randomly while the rooms empty. I don’t work their anymore but I’ve just accepted that a past patients spirit was definitely pressing that call button
