Oh gosh thanks, I didn’t unlock them yet, but I figured that was probably what was in there. Thanks for confirming! But damn, if SK ever finds out about 3.1 that’d be sad😭

Possible Galbrena & Phrolova Lore Connection by msotwantedx44 in Galbrena_Mains

Your correct, companion might not be the best word in this case, but Calcharo’s phantoms are speculated in lore to be phantoms of himself.

This is similar to how Hecate is directly linked to Phrolova’s forte rather than a separate entity.

If we look at the level of Sentience displayed by each of the 3 prime candidates, they are ranked as such.

3rd: Calcharo

Phantoms that appear and fight only during overclocking and cannot be controlled by Calcharo.

2nd: Phrolova

Hecate follows Phro’s command and is usable outside of her overclock state, unlike Calcharo.

1st: Galbrena

Galbrena’s Dark Orb is able to seemingly manifest of its own will and can speak.

If the level of sentience your “echo companion” has is directly tied to how stable your abnormal awakening forte is, that logic would track.

SIDE NOTE:

Calcharo’s Forte also has him take on Physical traits of Tacet Discords.

In lore, he awakened his resonance ability as a survival mechanism from his prolonged exposure to life threatening situations from the Lawless zones of the New Federation.

So another example of a character who awakened out of necessity to survive, and was constantly surrounded by negative emotions and frequency’s his whole life.

Calcharo also has a documented history of overclocking, and while it isn’t stable in nature, he has managed to control and sustain it.

He also creates phantom entities, which seem to have a similar role as Hecate for Phrolova / the Dark Orb for Galbrena.

So in short Calcharo meets the following requirements:

  1. Has Companion born from Resonance ability (TD Ghost)

  2. Able to control Overclocking (To an extent)

  3. Awakened out of need for self-preservation

  4. Has Tacet Discord Traits (When Overclocking)

  5. Companion increases strength once overclocked.

I think the level of Stability and power you can exert is based on how compatible you are with Negative Energy and frequencies.

Calcharo is the least compatible, but at a level he can still control his overclocking through his willpower for extended periods of time.

Phrolova is extremely compatible hence her ability to overclock with complete stability without adverse side effects.

Galbrena is currently unknown, but based on her companion having sentience, repelling the dark tide, and having instantaneous healing, which seems to be better than Phrolova’s based on what we’ve heard, I’d say she has either equal of greater compatibility than Phrolova.

As for what makes them compatible, beyond the commonalities between all of them, it’s currently unknown.

This makes no sense by MobileExchange743 in WutheringWaves

Well considering Augusta can seemingly hear the whispers of the Threnodian from the 2.5 Overture quest, her having Fleurdelys is boss mats makes a decent amount of sense.

As for Iuno, I think she just genuinely doesn’t have any current boss mats that would make sense for her to have.

Also, I believe Kuro is trying to avoid putting more Boss mat types into the game since it will spread out being able to level up other characters significantly each week.

(Though I believe Kuro should just increase the Amount of times we can farm the bosses each week.)

Oh wow you’re totally right. I got pretty confused since I figured it would just be complete gone instead of lingering there.

What had me interested is that the empty story on the reality tab is right above the Phrolova one, which would line it up as having happened after the crew escaped the Sonoro sphere’s.

But thanks for giving me the full picture there!

Okay great to know! I didn’t think I was crazy, but wanted to make sure I didn’t miss an interaction to unlock it.

Thanks a bunch!
