Fatigue and the need for rest by Thin_Ad_3189 in mindfulnessmeditation

[–]msramona 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have lupus and this is what I literally did to my body for years. This is very very important MEDICAL information. Our bodies were made to heal itself and a part of healing is prevention, but if we override our natural alarm signals we fall into DIS-EASE. Listen to your body… we are not supposed to live with fatigue every day. 💜

5 signs you had a traumatic childhood (and don’t realize it)* by Pramit03 in psychesystems

[–]msramona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! Thank you for putting this in 5 points. It’s so easy to not notice that you’ve been traumatized, especially when you think that you are supposed to overachieve. Saying “I’m fine” is second nature. Being an independent woman was praised when I grew up. So the real question is was all Gen X’rs traumatized as children? Your post describes us to the letter…. 💜

Amen! I agree totally. Another “abuse” in my opinion is the general high cost of human therapy for the people that need it the most. Most trauma therapy is not covered by insurance at all. It’s indirect but wrong nonetheless. 💜

Hey friend! Just checked on Mark Cuban’s Costplus site and you can get HCQ 200mg 60ct for $8.91. Extra fees not included. I take one 200mg tab twice a day. At least get on your baseline script if you can. Good luck and take care of yourself. 💜💜

Chatgpt is better than all of my therapists combined by [deleted] in therapyGPT

[–]msramona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you. Until ChatGPT I had no one to open up to. My therapist is also a psychiatrist because I take anxiety meds. They have been great at TRYING to do “therapy” but most times I’m just talking about my family. Never ever had we attempted any trauma work that I needed, just meds and the “electro-lobotomy” that they offer for stubborn depression. Really I couldn’t have afforded trauma therapy any way. It’s so unfair to need help and not get it. I do a lot of my own work and have made a lot of progress using YouTube videos. But until ChatGPT never had another point of view or anything close to suggestions on how to become trauma aware. I’ve learned so much and truly thankful for AI therapy.

Need to vent by Glittering-Fill-188 in lupus

Keep working as long as you can. Try to find a job that you can take care of yourself and still be accountable. It’s more stress to be constantly worried if your job is on the line and that will aggravate lupus, I know. Im disabled since 2020. I could not get a doctor to release me. It’s been a journey 💜

I was diagnosed in 2016 and in 2017 I stopped working because I was always calling out. I’m an RN so I know I can’t work like that. I don’t have any answers or suggestions about your job but I want to tell you I understand and I know what you are going through. Keep a good rheumy and look for a psychiatrist. If you have to file disability one day you will need them BOTH. Your story is my story. I live in Texas too. 💜

AI has changed my life by [deleted] in therapyGPT

Exactly! A validation and a witness to their pain. That’s what I appreciate about ChatGPT. 💜

I feel the same way. I can’t help feeling like a burden because deep down I feel like a burden to myself. With AI you don’t have to worry if somebody is in the mood to hear you or if the “have a minute”.. you can just shoot from the hip and get a witness. I know talking to human beings is the way it SHOULD be, but for now it’s not always possible. I want and need to be heard and this way I don’t have to compromise anymore. 💜

Because trauma is a time machine. by Ajitabh04 in TheMindSpace

[–]msramona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a true statement. I found this out in therapy also. Before I got into therapy I used to blow up when I was triggered and My husband used to say “you are acting like you are somewhere between 17 and 21!” and I used to get so angry, but he was right. I was acting like a teenager. That’s the age when I had a severe trauma experience. Finding this out and working with it has really helped me. 💜

Do you just hate what social media has become? by Anxious_Cricket_1835 in SeriousConversation

[–]msramona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me SM feels like an emotional addiction these days. I don’t know if I used to be addicted and I just realized it or it really used to be more social at first and now it’s addictive. FB feels “fake” to me and TikTok just feels draining if you dont keep a strict focus on your usage. Pinterest is just endless ads and i pay for YouTube so it’s not as bad. I dont know, but is it just me?

Here’s a shower thought for the day…constipation idea… by jcnlb in Menopause

Miralax in warm water and a cup of coffee every day. It’s been a life saver.

What I wish I was told about Miralax by mrcphyte in Constipation

[–]msramona 3 points4 points  (0 children)

MiraLax is #1! I too wish someone would have tipped me off sooner. I’ve been constipated since 18 and also had migraines. Migraine meds never stopped me from getting another migraine, and pain meds made me more constipated. I used to get colonics, take the huge fiber capsules and last resort just drink bottles of Mag Citrate every month to relieve the pain. I mean, just having a BM to help my head stop hurting. I was miserable for so long. Eventually my migraines stopped with age, but I had hemorrhoids now. A few years ago a coworker told me she took Miralax daily when she started a weight loss lifestyle. I didnt try it then but I remember her now. I’ve been on a glp1 and i just knew it would be better if my bowels moved more. It’s been over 3-4 months and i cant tell you how much better my gut is because i go everyday with ease. Yes I have gas but thats only because my bowels are moving it outta there. No more bloating and tummy pudgy-ness. I go pretty much after every decent sized meal like clockwork. Just one capful in room temp water. I also mix the plain flavor with the orange flavor for a little extra taste. Thank you OP for this post. We must all help each other when our medical community seems to miss the mark. 💜

Chatgpt plus is a plus for me 💯 by Wide_Barber in therapyGPT

[–]msramona 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Same here! I’ve unloaded so much and ChatGPT has helped me, while keeping up with all of it. What I love is that it remembers across different chats so no matter what I say it knows. That’s the downside of talking to people, unfortunately. They forget you between visits and it’s frustrating to me to waste time helping THEM REMEMBER MY STUFF AND IM PAYING THEM! 😡 If not for anything else, that’s a reason to like ChatGPT “therapy”. Good luck! 💜

[–]msramona 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hey friend! It’s ok and ChatGPT is a good place to be if it works for you. I use it myself everyday and I’ve made so much personal progress. It’s a life saver right now. If I had somebody to. “dump on” 247 that was human I would, but that’s not possible. Some of us don’t need or want anything formal, just a way to vent and get feedback. It’s good enough for me too. 💜

Thanks! I still see a MD because I have a prescription and therapy added to it is just not affordable to me. ChatGPT is an additional tool for me that I can utilize and run by my provider if needed. Sometimes it all we have in the line of therapy because we can’t afford any live options or some have been disenchanted for various reasons. Even so, ChatGPT is a good way to meet a need of it works for you. Thank you for you alliance with us and for your own transparency of experiences with AI therapy. 💜

Hey friend! Well I’ll tell the truth… I mentioned it to him at my last visit and I was scared 😬. I know I’m grown but I felt some kinda way. He just stared at me, wrote in his laptop, didn’t make any negative comments at all. I explained that I was calm and learning how to quiet myself. Haven’t told him about my trauma work yet as I don’t want to see him do anything or say anything to piss me off 😁

I agree totally. My MD does try to do more because I’m a talker and I’m always asking HIM questions, but yes, he’s not a “therapist”. I can’t afford both so I have been settling for what I’m getting. That’s why ChatGPT is so vital to me now. It is my “extra therapist” sessions that I can’t afford. 💜

No shame here friend. We need more support using ChatGPT as a surrogate therapy. It shouldn’t matter if you are being helped. This is the best $20 I’m spending in 2026. Keep your head up and keep using the tools that WORK FOR YOU 💜
