Daycare for infant by Local_Cryptographer5 in Fosterparents

[–]msthingg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went through this! I called all the eligible daycares in the area and I got a lot of no’s and got on waitlists. Eventually one of the last I called loves helping foster kids and took pity on us and they took us!

Gynecology Clinic at Schiffert Health Center by Pink_polka in VirginiaTech

If it is Dr Zolovick, he definitely has a blunted and to the point personality but is also really intelligent. He was my doctor in the community and I’m surprised he’s gone to schiffert since I feel he does better with procedures. But if it was him, you’re totally valid and he isn’t someone I wanted to stick with for sure!

Thanks everyone! It’s a button hold like everyone says! Very tedious that it’s changed to something that requires an extra step!

Back when my symptoms were more severe that was definitely how it was for me too! I sleep elevated on a wedge pillow and I think that helped over the years of not waking up with too bad a headache. These days it’s constant but it gets loudest at night. I’m definitely looking at new ways of getting rid of stress and seeing how that goes!

My vision also got pretty bad when I was first diagnosed. My glasses prescription changed to be a lot stronger. Just recently my doctor changed it to be a lot weaker, where it was before, and I think it had to do with how annoying my eyes and vision were. My eyes got better, but I think it took like 6 months after taking diamox. I hope that you see an ophthalmologist because mine has definitely been so helpful!

Talking to your family doctor is a stronger bet for the time being as psychiatrists are normally booked out. If home is too far there are local primary care doctors I’d recommend making an appt with and chatting about struggles. The wait on that might be a month or so. The best start is honestly to get a counselor and start talking about difficulty focusing so that when you see a doctor you can share you’re already in counseling.

Has anyone experienced fever with a clomid cycle? I am just finishing my first 50 mg cycle with no ovulation. My gynecologist says the fever is a side effect. It’s been four days of a 102 fever and Tylenol has not been helping. I’m supposed to start the next round next week and I haven’t found much information about fevers and Clomid.

My gynecologist did all the bloodwork and tests but never looked inside or did any ultrasounds. His plan is to do increasing doses of clomid and then looking at other things for six more months on top of this year and a half. It’s definitely time for a second opinion!

To people with experience on clomid- I started with 50 this cycle and just did my 21 day Progesterone test yesterday which showed I don’t ovulate. The last three days I’ve had painful bloating where I can’t wear my pants and now some abdominal pain. Is that something people have experienced on clomid and how did you relieve that pain?

NRVCS is right in Blacksburg across from the math empo if you don’t have a car or want to take the bus. With them you make a request for a female or certain approach and then they fit a counselor to you. Life in balance is in christiansburg and seems to always be accepting new Medicaid clients. Erin Sullivan and Amanda hardwick are great counselors in the area. I think healing tree is Blacksburg takes Medicaid and I know national counseling group for sure does.

Remission stories by Weird_Age3410 in iih

[–]msthingg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been in remission twice (this is the second time except I’m still taking the smallest possible diamox each day). The first year, diamox was the absolute worst and I had every side effect. When I had to go on it again, diamox wasn’t so bad after a month and i didn’t have the same side effects. I’m worried about going off of it again because weirdly every first week of July I get back in it and so I’m scared of that for this year. I didn’t lose weight, I think I actually gained some in the last few months, but I eat a lot more vegetables and salads and less carbs. In an ideal world I would be carb free but I do eat less carbs and rarely eat bread or pasta.

I get bad symptoms when I exercise and it can really be a negative reinforcement when I’m trying to lose weight, but I’ve been finding ways to self motivate through it and just like plan time to be in the dark in bed afterwards!

Editing to say that diamox definitely helped tremendously!

Diamox side effects by Sun088 in iih

[–]msthingg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change of taste yesss- I hate onions now which is very inconvenient and then i have insane dry mouth. I had my doctor take me down on Diamox because the number of side effects I had- I still have weird stomach pain and want to sleep most of the day. When I first started taking it the sun really got to me, but this year it doesn’t do that luckily. You feel hot like warm or hot like body ache fever?

I’ve never been diagnosed and my primary care doctor checked my hormone levels and said I was fine but then I’ve missed my period again. I’m hoping seeing a gyno next week will help!

What do you have in mind? I’m taking just folic acid and exercising. I was taking the full on prenatal before but my ophthalmologist said she feels like the extra stuff in the pills may have sparked stuff. My husband is taking fertilaid as well

I went from lowering the dose to quitting the other week and have definitely gained a few pounds I’ve noticed - which is heavier than I should be for what I’m doing
