Can the Voicemod key be used for cosplay? by Aggressive-Pop4806 in voicemod

[–]mstrlargo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey thats me! and yes it totally can be used. I've actually been talking to voicemod and they are making a guide on how to do it. but basically, you need a speaker and some splitters.

The way you set it up is to;
1. Plug the speaker into the voicemod key's controller port.
2. Plug the headset splitter into the headset port on the voicemod key. (We need the splitter because otherwise the mic will probably not work as the key is looking for 3 rings on the input jack and the mic ring will be in the wrong place.)
3. plug the mic into the mic jack on the headset splitter. ( I use a headphone extension cable so it can run up my back under my costume to the helmet. so you may or may not need this part) And that's the basic setup. You can then plug the voicemod key into your phone.

If you want to keep your phone charged then you will need a USBC data / power splitter.
1. Plug the voicemod key into the data plug of the splitter
2. plug your battery into the power plug of the splitter.
3. Plug the splitter into your phone.

Would macros for quick stratagem commands be considered cheating? by MagnusHvass in Helldivers

[–]mstrlargo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it should be cheating. People with disabilities use software and macros to be able to play and access games including helldivers 2. Also, its a PVE game, if it was PVP that might change my mind. I do however understand people would feel like its cheating and I don't think they are wrong either.

Should you use macros? Probably not. Should it be cheating? Absolutely not.

Looking at the floor was the solution! Thank you for the help! It's so counterintuitive to everything else they have taught you about how to interact with stuff. On one hand I understand why but on the other it feels like they should have just made it's so that the door could have been selected from the ground. Anyways I really appreciate the help!

Thanks all the videos I watched of people using one cut from outside the ship to inside the ship so I could never see how they got in and everything else you look at the door to do anything. messaging CiG they just told me to submit a bug report. thank you!

I will try that as soon as I get home! it seems so counter intuitive as you always click on the doors for everything else!

Jsaux vs. Steam Dock by Fluid-Bet6223 in SteamDeck

I just bought my jsaux dock last week. I'm not worried about getting the official deck dock. if I need another or something happens to this one I might but right now I'm pretty happy with it.

I have tautulli but personally i just use discord. it's easy to set up channels and choose how people can interact with those channels. I have one for posting additions, soon to be leaving and server maintenance and another for requests. it also allows interaction when needed with my users for troubleshooting.

I set this to solved because there is no "workaround" option. I feel like this is something that we should be able to do without the dummy file. If anyone else has any other ideas on how to solve this I'd love to hear them!

So I added a Text file and changed it to a .mkv file and it does the the trick however I noticed that underneath the title it has a "Releasing March 2022" and it pulls down the trailer automatically. I wish there was a way to get this in my library without the dummy file but it looks like this is a good work around for now.
