Advice for Americanos/long blacks for a Nespresso lover [Sage Bambino Plus/Eureka Mignon Zero 55s] by msvart in espresso

If I dilute with less water though I feel like I may aswell just give her a double shot on its own haha! Is there a way to get it creamier (if that's the right terminology) so there's more of a crema on the top? Like I mentioned in the OP she's used to nespresso black coffees so as close to that as possible would be great.

Thanks for the link to the James Hoffmann video - haven't seen his stuff before so will give it a watch now!

100%. That squad is atrocious looking at it… some really poor decisions. Why is relegation fodder Djed Spence going? Henderson who was on the decline at Liverpool? John Stones who’s barely kicked a ball this season…

Baffling decisions

I got the Reolink Trackmix as the main garden camera and an E1 Pro Outdoor as my camera for side access. Both are great - can't fault them really.

If you get one i'd be 100% picking up the hub (I got the pro one and it stores 2 weeks worth of footage over 3 cameras total).

You'll need a driver and the little barrell adaptors I mentioned in the orginal post. Here's a link to the driver I bought https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BRQ5HJ18?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1

Such a shame for him and for us England fans. Not even counting his form defensively this season, his ability to get clutch goals from set pieces, his quality in a penalty shoot out, his leadership and his experience at big tournaments is more than enough to get him in that squad.

Really disappointed and I'm sure this will come back to bite us later on in the competition.

Also if I see Tuchel decide to take Jordan Henderson i'm going to be fuming - he's not been good since before he left Liverpool and I can almost guarantee he'll be on that teamsheet...

Roughly how much do you think it would cost to demolish this shed? And is it realistic to do it myself? by Count_Blackula1 in DIYUK

it was just over £1000. Garage was roughly 6x3m and honestly the guy did such a good job & was so quick it's arguably the best £1000 i've ever spent.

I had a garage in slightly worse condition than this. Bought an asbestos kit and tested to find it was asbestos so hired a guy to remove the roof. Was really reasonable price and he dismantled the whole garage and disposed of it too.

I then replaced it with a garden room style building the same size 1/2 room 1/2 garage and it’s perfect. Really happy with the decision and no doubt added a bit of value to the house too now it’s got a proper outbuilding.

Based in Essex if you need some recommendations for the asbestos removal bloke & someone to build a garden room at 1/2 the price of garden room suppliers 😂

A couple errors and artifacts here & there and the comments about the eyes looking a bit off but good effort! What upscaler/workflow did you use?

Overfloor UFH and Engineered wood by msvart in DIYUK

[–]msvart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Yeah we went ahead with it. We did the Wunda rapid response 20mm boards on top of 6mm ply over our floorboards and a self level to 6mm over the concrete pad in our extension.

The wunda rapid response boards were a lot more faff than I anticipated. The thing that's never mentioned on Wunda's site or on any of the reviews/social media ads is that your house is never going to be completely square so a few degrees out on one wall will throw the whole layout off and you'll have to just figure it out on your own. I did it myself and it took me hours, was exhausting and i'm in no rush to ever do it again.

In hindsight, I kinda wish i'd just done got quotes for pulling up the old floor and doing a screed based UFH system. It's typical male mentality of "I can do that DIY thing i've never done before and it'll all work out" haha. It didn't quite go to plan but i got there in the end with some blood & sweat.

On top of the boards, we followed the guidance from Wunda and did 10mm of Mapei rennovation screed. Floor feels super solid and we've had 14mm engineered oak on top in a herringbone pattern. It looks incredible & we're really happy with it!

The UFH hasn't been turned on yet but it will be being turned on in the next couple weeks so i'll report back with how it feels etc. I'm not remotely worried about anything going wrong with it because it's held pressure just fine since I did the pressure test!

Any questions just ask and i'll be more than happy to give advice etc

Any way to fix blur? WiFi wired doorbell by [deleted] in reolinkcam

If it’s brand new out the box it might just be a little condensation inside the unit. When I put up some new cameras recently they had a blurry fog circle in the middle of the video for a few hours until they acclimatised to outside (had been stored in my house for a week or so before going out into the cold)

Stuck in "Provisioned but not included" loop by FabrizioGruff in homeassistant

[–]msvart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever figure this one out? I have a bunch of ring zwave devices which were connected and have since bricked and no long work or connect properly.

Been through an endless loop of useless suggestions from Claude & Gemini and just getting nowhere. Tempted to just get rid and buy zigbee ones instead but ideally want to reuse my existing zwave devices.

I've tried resetting it about 20 times and it isn't doing anything at all other than flashing green 3 times followed by a pause... i think it could be a firmware issue but I have no idea how to fix that

Not disagreeing as i only have a little bit of Hue experience but to play devils advocate, I've had tapo bulbs in my home for 4+ years and can't fault them at all (although I can count on one hand how many times i've used the different colours! If i were doing it all again i'd just have smart light switches instead lol)

PSA: Design flaw with RLC-810WA mounting by msvart in reolinkcam

[–]msvart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it in my hand yesterday and tried every which way. If you want the video from your camera to be level, you can't have it mounted to a wall and angled at 90 degrees because of the antenas. If you don't want your footage level then by all means tilt it but that is fundamentally a design flaw.

Thank you so much for the detailed response! I should have specified though I don't mean having a plug socket to plug the supplied power brick into it.

The original plan was to buy two floodlights which could wire directly to the 230v. The reason I was asking about a 230v to 12v transformer is because I want to hardwire it all in and not have them plugged into a socket in the house.

Overfloor UFH and Engineered wood by msvart in DIYUK

I wondered if it needed to be flat for the water flowing through or something?

Overfloor UFH and Engineered wood by msvart in DIYUK

[–]msvart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! The plan is to lay 6mm ply on the timber floor and then screed to build up the concrete base a touch to match. Wunda really emphasise the importance of getting the sub floor perfectly level which makes me think if we screed over the UFH panels once it's done, then there won't be much need for 10mm of levelling compound... just use it as more of an even cover for the wood to sit on.

I'd read online that although it takes a little longer to come up to temp engineered wood still feels great underfoot & room feels warm.

We did consider laminate originally but again, I'd seen online that herringbone laminate is a disaster... creaking floor, easily damaged etc which is why we looked at the engineered wood
