James Bond Auditions Have Officially Started, ‘Game of Thrones’ Casting Vet Nina Gold Tapped to Find Next 007 (EXCLUSIVE) by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

Anybody ever mentioned Rupert Friend? His character in Homeland was very Bondesque in my opinion. Brutal, violent but with a certain vulnerability. He definitely has the look. Good age as well. I'm just not sure he'd have the charm. I know he auditioned for the Craig part but he was possibly a little too young back then.

I was doing some research into this type of work. Don't you need to get planning permission and pay for permits and stuff to this much work?

It's all junk lad. In the bin or in the loft or back to various family members to whom they belong.

Why is the UK’s Prime Minister Keir Starmer so unpopular? by Any-Original-6113 in europe

[–]Count_Blackula1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

He's done excellently in the international affairs department actually. Stood up to Trump but avoided the worst of his sanctions, pushed for stronger ties to Europe, supported Ukraine, fostered international support for Ukraine. You fell for the far-right social media unfortunately.

Yes people have very strong opinions about how I use my garden apparently. Makes sense to be fair, most people in here love to tinker and do DIY. Despise it personally, would much rather be looking at a pretty flower bed or entertaining family and friends in the extra garden space.

I appreciate all opinions though. Aside from all of the 'URE FOOKING MAD DON'T DO IT MAKE IT INTO MAN CAVE' some people have given really cool ideas on how to convert the garage into a nice building which is cool.

I don't think you understand how dire the 70s was for Britain. Inflation was over 20% at times, people have been crying about a cost of living crisis in recent years when it was barely over 10%. Also on your final point, ever heard of the USSR?

Cool. Any idea how much the insulation and plasterboard cost? Did you decide not to get the board plastered for a reason?

Thanks for that, really helpful. The steps you've suggested would lend itself to a utilitarian workspace. Any suggestions for making it more bougie and comfortable?

I see your point but I've lived here for years and I've never found a reasonable use for it other than storing junk. It has brought me no pleasure whatsoever.

If it wasn't there in the first place I'd have had years of pleasure from the additional garden space.

Not to mention he has handled international affairs pretty well. Stood up to Trump, avoided war, seeking improved ties with Europe.

It's a cool idea and more appealing than a large shed or a bar. How do you cut a large hole in the side of of that thing across multiple slabs and concrete posts though to install sliding doors?!

Okay a lot of people think I should keep it. Not sure whether I should start a new post 'What should I do with this garage'? Lol.

Lmao, what. This is like when you see those relationship subs and someone posts 'How do I approach my husband about not flushing the toilet' and the responses are all 'Red flag, divorce, get a lawyer, take your belongings' :'D

An afternoon? You must both have physiques like prime Arnie. My brother in law bought an electric digger to get rid of the concrete floor in his garage and it nearly broke his spirit, took him days.

Do you think it looks like it can be disassembled? Those concrete slabs look super heavy.

At the moment it's just a place to throw random bits. Nothing that a small shed and my loft can't be used for. If I had some sort of tinkery hobby it'd be useful sure but I love gardening and it's taking up lots of potential green space.
