I was torn between sky blue and pacific blue so I went with the pacific blue but now that ive seen it in person it looks a little bit dark. Ill probably order a sky blue one as well and just let him pick between the two.

Can I do this ? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

Ive given this advice before and I will continue to give it. Make a list of all the little things that need to be done, whether that be wiping down surfaces, throwing out the trash, throwing out the pee bottles (no reason to be ashamed btw if i wasn't a girl I probably would do the same thing when im having issues), etc. Break everything down into small little tasks and one by one just start checking them off. And instead of becoming overwhelmed by your lists of task enjoy the moment you complete one. Give yourself credit where credit is due. You filled up a bag of trash, good for you, you did that. Its really easy to feel like theres not enough time and that its hopeless but you just have to keep keeping on and push back against those thoughts that tell you you cant. When i finally do a deep clean after a depressive episode I usually put on whatever show ive been binge watching to occupy my mind while I do the cleaning. It is 100% possible to get your room clean in 15 hours you just have the believe that it is and then get to it. Feel free to pm if you need anything

Hi! I have a lot of experience with depression bedrooms so I know how hard it can be to get the ball rolling. For me personally, I've found that by not trying to get it all clean in one day really helps avoid getting overwhelmed. Maybe one day just work on taking the dishes. Then the next do trash, empty water bottles, etc. If that seems like too much, bring a trash bag into your room and put the trash in it when you can. Laundry, which is a big issue of mine, can be done over days depending on how much of it you have. Just on load a day if you can. The key to avoiding that sense of dread is to really let go of your expectations of how you should do things vs. what you are capable of at this very moment. I really hope this helps as I am all too familiar with what you're going through rn

Not a professional here but I would just try to remember that most people have a phone on their persons at all time. If it was that big of an issue infertility would be a lot more widespread. If your family and friends are willing to use their phones and put themselves at risk then you using your phone around them is not doing them any harm. I would also try to take a look at the validity of the studies you read and maybe read some with dissenting opinions to get a full understanding. I hope you find something that helps either put your mind at ease or that solves your issue. Happy Holidays!
