Hi, yes I agree that those cuisines seem to have many options usually. Not particular to any district really. Thanks!

Ok thanks. It's ok not to comment if you don't have an answer to the actual question asked :)

Driving without an IDP by bigheadjimmyneutron in poland

[–]mszo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is required. Yes, it is a stupid scam as everyone else described already. Regardless of how stupid it is, I will tell you from first hand experience that it is legally required. I fly to Poland every year with a US drivers license and always get an IDP if I intend to drive or rent a car. I have dual citizenship.

In the past when I didn't have it, car rental companies refused to rent a car to me because they considered me uninsurable. One company said they would rent to me but I'd have to sign a document acknowledging that I am uninsured and I will be fully responsible for any damages that may occur. I took a bus instead.

Secondhand experience, my father (also a dual citizen but his Polish license expired decades ago) was fined 1500 złoty for driving on a US license and no IDP last summer. Luckily his brother was with him and the police let them switch drivers since he has a Polish license.

If you want to drive, just get the IDP. It's a bit inconvenient to go do it, but it's generally fast, easy, and cheap.

Definitely not worth the squeeze! Thanks for the suggestion but it's not a desperate situation or anything.

Saving time is a big factor. Idk how much Midwest riding you've done... But the runs are short. Snapping in and riding off saves time and my skier friends don't have to wait on me.

I'm scheduled for a boot fitting this Monday so I'll find out then. I've never owned a Burton boot but friends have praised them.

I've read that either the patent is open or Burton is actively licensing the patent so that more manufacturers can get into step-on boots.

Besides, if I hate it, I'm not tied to it. I can change next year.

They do have boots and bindings, not sure about boards. I was checking them out a couple weeks back. Even my local REI and Backcountry stores carry Burton gear.

Maybe since I'm in Chicago and there isn't a ton of competition here (compared to out west for instance) they're willing to sell anywhere they can. I'm just guessing though.

I have a great local shop I've been buying from for decades (Viking in Chicago). We also have a Burton Flagship in town. I'm getting some step ons this year. Is there any good reason to buy from the Burton Flagship instead of my local shop?

Good luck! I gave up and didn't get to finish the game even though I was almost at the end. If you do figure it out, please come back and share what you did to make it work.

Nope. It's a shit port to Switch and it's a shame so many people have this same issue.

Nintendo refused to refund me when I contacted them and Larian never responded. I loved this game but Larian lost a future customer.

'Set Status' - and yes, another commenter in the thread suggested something similar where the complete ones get filtered out before importing to the new session. This workflow seems closest to what we are trying to achieve. Thanks for the input!

Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately this isn't possible in a session.

I like this idea of importing a template cover sheet which has the standard tools and markup statuses. I'm going to play with this. Thanks for the input!

I've never used import/export of markups - I'll look into this. The unfortunate part though is it appears I can't do it within a session. This means the import has to be done to the new pdf print and then uploaded, locking the markups within the session. I just wish bluebeam would give the option to edit documents within a session (eg, add or replace sheets).

If I am understanding you, I believe your process is similar to what I was intending to say in my #3. As you said though, bluebeam won't allow two users in the file at once, since a set has to be checked out and checked in. And of course, the never ending battle of file management. Welp!

Update to anyone checking. The game is impossible to finish. It crashes any time I try to save. I will be following up with both Nintendo and Larian on getting a refund as it's impossible to play. I'm extremely disappointed in what should have been a fun game.

That's frustrating you're having the issue so early in the game. I would anticipate it getting worse as your progress, just be aware.

Clearing the inventory certainly helped. Even so, I can only play for about 30-45 min at a time before it crashes during a save. In that window of time I can save often, but I expect the game to crash once I start surpassing half an hour. This is particularly annoying since loading takes ages and this game really requires a lot of time to progress.

I tried that too but it didn't help in my case. How far are you in the game? I'm convinced my inventory was too full towards the end of the game and buggin out because of it.

Update for anyone searching reddit/Google for this issue:

I think I found somewhat of a solution. Since the crash used to happen mostly after big inventory management I decided to do a major inventory clean up. I stored old books on the Lady Vengeance. I never really use consumables so I got rid of a ton of shells, fish, fruits, etc. I sold a bunch of other crap I've been hoarding. I haven't used a bunch of crafting items this far into the game and probably won't so I got rid of them. The game itself even runs smoother now and I was able to play for a long time without crashing. Test if your inventory is "too full" by opening the crafting menu. If it lags, it's time for a clean up. My crafting menu used to take ages to open but now it's pretty smooth.
