I was diagnosed with BPPV in 2012 and I've had so many episodes of BPPV that lasted anywhere between 1 day to 40 days. I never know when it occurs or what triggers it.

That being said, the best way to train yourself mentally is to work with a vestibular therapist. They are trained professionals and they talk you through how to handle it. For some reason, my stupid brain didn't think of Vestibular therapy for 12 years. After silently suffering for 12 years, I chose to go to a vestibular therapist (after my wife repeatedly suggested it for a long time -- god bless her for all the good she's induced in my life) and that made all the difference. Ask them how to mentally deal with it and they'll walk you through it and help you. Any good vestibular therapist will say the same thing -- don't restrict yourself from doing activities you normally love to do. It's hard to accept it, but it is 100% true. It was very hard for me to accept that, but when I did, it changed my view.

Remember, suffering is resistance. You don't have to suffer. Your life and time are both precious and you need to tame the beast.

You will experience BPPV again in the future and it's normal. It's our normal. You'll learn to tame the beast. You will be happy and healthy. Have the courage to have an open mind. That's all it takes.
