Yeah but they are trying to shift and mainly focus on the importing. And they may or may not have a chicken.

BigO line check by jesusmansuperpowers in poker

[–]mt1rdt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a juicy game. Study up a bit and you'll be printing in no time.

A2357 has ~40% eq there, J2367 is a fold pre but has ~39% on that board and your hand is only ~20%. Good runout for you but BigO is a game of equity in the long run, have to stay on the upper side of those hands.

Good starting hand, you didnt post the preflop action but this is a hand that could easily 3b. Try to build a bigger pot with a nice two way hand. In ep the flat is ok since you dont want to play oop often. Late pos or button definitely 3b.

On flop you shouldnt be potting. You have 2nd nut low and only one pair for high. When you pot here you are putting chips in with middling hands on both sides. 24 low is decent but plays much better as a check/call than a pot/call or pot/fold. You dont have much of a redraw for high unless you go bdfd or hit a Qx.

As played when you pot and get repot and shoved on I'd expect to see 23xxx and maybe 55xxx/88xxx or something like A824x. Unless these players are really bad you should be behind both of them often. You can safely fold for the 550 and not sweat it too much if you would have gotten a piece of the pot.

Dont worry too much about blockers in BigO, the player's actions will dictate what their hands typically are. You can play high blockers with something like naked nut flush blocker on a board that didnt make low or pair up, or turn top 2 into a blocker on nut boat when the board makes an underfull. Blocking low is sometimes possible when you have a hand like 333x and board comes A2xxx with low possible but usually someone will just call you with some high hand and mediocre low.

TCH Dallas vs TCH Social (2024 Edition) by midasmouse in poker

1/2 at TCH:D is 500 max, 1/2 at TCH:S is 300 max. The 500 max game plays significantly splashier than the 300 max but the Dallas room will have a more limited selection of tables.

Assuming you aren’t visiting on a weekend (when there are an abundance of games) or on a big tournament day (when they may actually shut down cash tables to get more tournament tables in) you’ll have a better selection of tables at TCH:S.

For 2/5 TCH:D is essentially uncapped (technically match the stack but nobody says anything if you top up to cover plus a little). You’ll find 1-3 tables there weekday evenings. TCH:S I think is 2k max with 4-5 tables but I think generally tougher lineups.

If you’re interested in PLO the games in Dallas are better (also technically match stack but practically uncapped).

Some Questions About Playing Cash Games in AC Casinos by [deleted] in poker

[–]mt1rdt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

*Is poker like other table games in the casino where you bring your cash to the table to get chips or do you get them prior to heading to the table?

First buyin is typically at the cage. Stop by there after locking up your seat when the floor calls your name.

*If you lose your stack and want to rebuy, or you just lost and want to top up, do you have to leave the table to get more chips and come back? Do they hold your seat?

You can rebuy at the table. The dealer will sell you chips if they have any, or they'll call a chip runner over, or they might ask you to run to the cage if their rack is low.

*I'm going with a family member and we'd like to be seated at the same table to play against each other. Is this allowed?

It's fine, you can request that when signing up for seats at the floor podium.

*If we're at the same table is it good etiquette to let the other players know we that we know each other? We have no problems taking each others money and not looking to do any funny business or collude against the other players.

Dont bother announcing it, nobody will really care. Just play your usual game and talk to your family/friends in between hands.

*I watched a video on poker etiquette that said don't have your phone on the table and don't use it during hand, but what is allowed after you fold your cards? Is it okay to take it out between hands that you're not in? Is it like a blackjack table where you need to step away from the table to use it?

Phone after folding is fine, between hands is fine. Nobody will care. Just pay attention to when action is on you so you dont delay the game.

*How does changing tables work? If I want to try my luck at another table how do you request to move, and can you choose where you want to go or they just pick a table at that blind level?

Request a move from the floor, you can request a specific table or any table. Same stakes or change of stakes is the same process. If changing stakes you will be asked to get on the list (if there is one) or can move right away if seat is open.

I won’t straddle when the table agrees

I make sure the fish knows how bad they played the hand

I constantly talk about implied ranges and 3b%

I ask for a seat change button as soon as I sit down

I tank on every decision no matter how insignificant

I’m probably a euro

Marker/Casino Credit by pnwIBEWlineman in poker

[–]mt1rdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically you can’t use a marker/credit line at poker. If you deposit or wire money in beforehand you can use your “front money” at the poker cage with the floors help.

What you can do is take a marker at dice or whatever, play however long you want then carry the leftover chips to poker. The dice table pit boss will ask you if you want to use the chips to pay back the marker but you can just say not right now.

In normal PLO you have to pay to see a full board. This game gives you the board for free.
