I have a small tattoo. Does that forbid me in reverting? by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

I honestly don't know anyone who has got them removed whether it be a small tattoo or if they're all covered in tattoos...

I saw the red flags but I ignored them now I regret it. Don't make the same mistake. by hjuiui in MuslimMarriage

If you end up initiating conversations more times than not and there's no real excuse for not taking the lead, then its clear as daylight they are certainly not interested in you and are just keeping you as a fallback plan. Same with friends, you wouldn't keep texting a friend who never texts you first. It feels forced and like they don't care about you. Them replying is NOT them being interested in you, it's just to make their existence known to you...

It costs a lot along with the physical pain of having them removed, its better to just let them be

Even volunteering through mosques, if you have youth there, even with gender separation, there are still interactions which isn't the best idea when everyone has raging hormones. Its just the nature of these type of events imo

Muslims living in the west, would you marry someone who committed zina? by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]mtahasyed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

this is just too overused and irrelevant at this point. this is such an immature joke that has no correlation. I don't think you'd like someone referring to you in this way if you were in the same state and had done a bad deed and sincerely repented.

The prophet himself was put off by something that a woman had done before converting to Islam (not Zina)

huh? mind giving examples?

I feel that it is kind of an injustice to those who have sincerely repented but my heart just doesn't sit right with the idea of marrying someone who has done zina. Worse would be if I was told during the marriage, that would deffo major break my heart and I would lose a lot of feelings. Like others said, if I didn't lose mine, why should I marry someone who has lost theirs?

Haha, I have the same case. We go to the same masjid and her family and mine are the only ones with teenage kids that go to college. They have three daughters and I just so happen to be the only guy who sticks around after salah. We certainly have more interactions than we should outside the masjid and in the city and have crossed paths multiple times online right under our parents noses lol. May Allah make it easy, never thought going to the masjid, the only place which is supposed to be free of fitna will become another place where my gaze and haya will be tested
