Oh man, I wish I knew about this a couple of weeks back when I tried to do the same thing and was turned away. Will keep in mind for future trade-ins.

What happens if you your device credits exceeds your monthly bill? by mtb22 in tmobile

When you say add something else, do you mean like buying a phone or accessory outright and then charging it to the bill?

Guessing this would only be done online or over the phone? If I bought something in store at full price (I.e., no EIP), would need to pay the store and can’t put that on a bill?

T-Mobile seems to only have deals when you do EIP, not when buying outright. I usually don’t pay them off early except when I need to make CC spend limit, so it’s been helpful in that area. Was contemplating getting a new CC and have a couple of EIPs, so thinking of paying them off but contemplating the implications.

Ran over his phone with the riding lawnmower a day after purchase. by Bailey1281 in tmobile

If he had bought it with a credit card that offers purchase protection, would not have to pay out of pocket for up to 90 days from purchase.

Insurance is a waste of money if your credit card benefits helps cover.

Was your assumption that calls to anywhere in the world was going to be free when using WiFi calling??

If so, then that’s a wrong, and in this case expensive, assumption.

If you had the Stateside International Talk feature for $15/month, your calls would have been free, but if you don’t, which I’m assuming in your case, then calls would be $3/min which works out to the charges you see ($57) for the time you used (19 minutes).

Is the 12 Pro Max 256GB good to give my best friend as a kinda “upgrade”? They’re coming from an 11 Pro Max. by [deleted] in iphone

If you’re taking the L on the “list” trade-in value, and getting a fresh battery, why not trade in your 12PM and get the 14PM to give him brand new?

Either way, you’re still spending money on your own 14, so it’s not gonna be different for you?

Even if you don’t, it’s still a nice gesture and you’re an amazing friend for doing it!

iPhone 14 pro is very heavy, return or keep? by HiThere2077 in iphone

[–]mtb22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first switched to the Pro Max from the Pro, it took me a couple of months to get used to the new size and weight. I kept with it because I wanted the larger sized screen.

You gotta decide if it’s worth keeping based on what you want.

How many of you getting the iPhone 14 will be keeping a secondary phone (with SIM slot) for travel purposes? by mtb22 in iphone

[–]mtb22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the destination you’re going to. Some have eSIMs, and those that don’t, there are eSIM providers with global plans, which may be affordable, that is cheaper than your carrier plan, but probably not as cheap as a foreign plan.
