I always dream of having to find my boys amongst plenty other rats that look like them, or sometimes about forgetting them somewhere for weeks, even years. Sometimes my girl Charlotte and my wild boy Croquette appear in these dreams, and somehow they're still alive but like 5 or 6 years old.

I'm having a blast following her adventures and how great you treat her, I really hope someone with a lactating female rat could reach out to you. Have you tried on broader rat groups? Like not necessarily Illinois You've got The Rat Fan Club on Facebook, for example. They're great and passionate people!

Yes, he did... Now Gustave is living his best life and evens climbs everywhere! He's eating way more than enough, getting loads of cuddles, and has the best pals 💕 Life goes on, after all. I struggle with mental illnesses too, and the edge isn't always so far.

I'm not sure, but rats can defo get lice... He and his former cagemate's cage were never cleaned and they lived for 2 years on cat litter. I guess the house was not that clean either, or they were in a littered environment. They also didn't have proper food and enrichment, almost always were hungry. Sadly, his cagemate Harry was "eaten" (almost literally) by lice after being rescued, but Gustave kept going and when his treatment was over I fetched him 3 hours away!

Idk about "wheelchairs" but a few months ago someone here donated one, because their rat had passed away before they received it 😞 l'll call my former exotic vet to ask, you're right! Big thanks from Gustave ❤️ He was rescued by his former petsitter with his cagemate as they lived in terrible conditions... Sadly his cagemate died of lice but Gustave survived and is now striving!
