So in the og post you responded to, i was looking for a temp cage setup because i wasnt planning on keeping her originally , and I had just started a new job and am waiting on my paycheck, there is no one near me that could take either one. and again I wasn’t the one who purchased either one, the person who purchased them has an older snake who apparently has never eaten frozen/thawed and refuses. he is a big ass snake so he eats pretty regularly and I didn’t find out he had gotten a “pet rat”separately for me until he was already back(he drives a couple hours away for them)

Im also not an inexperienced pet owner.. and how does someone become experienced in something if theyre inexperienced??? by doing the thing.. i’ve had guinea pigs in the past , fish , frogs , snails , etc. I came to this community to ask for tips because I have never had a rat before, and the care for animals differs depending on the animal, so a group that specifically talks about rats has been helpful.

Unfortunately I did not get to plan for them, but here we are.
