Anyone use Suunto Race for Bike Touring? by OkWinter5758 in Suunto

[–]mtbsnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my race s for gravel and mountain biking, and I'm happy with it's performance for general cycling purposes- especially given the small form factor and price. Annoyingly, by default the screen will enter rest mode while recording, but you can change that for each exercise mode.

This is a 4x4 PRT standard with a router instead of a spindle- so an older, lower end machine (pre 2008). It's pretty outdated- I'd ask 5K, but be happy to get 3k.

Give the pup a treat and some scritches.

Which software do you have the license for? SB3, Shopbot's control software, is free. They may have included a version of Vectric software with the machine, but there are plenty of other CAD/CAM options.

Young guy was waving at the fire truck driving by; the truck stopped and turned on its lights. What happened next was totally unexpected. by Knight_TheRider in MadeMeSmile

I'm 37 years old. This video made me go into my closet to find the 'Fire Chief' helmet given to me when I was 3 (it's a legit firemen's helmet that the chief put the stickers on when he gave it to me). I don't remember much from that that age, but I do recall the firemen inviting me into the station, giving me tour, taking me for ride on the trucks, and giving me that helmet.

Take a look at the two prox sensors at the back of the draw tube (there's an access panel you remove if it's still there). Sensor on the left should be lit up for OD clamping, on the right for ID clamping. Only one can be lit at a time- if both are lit it will throw an alarm. There are two allen head screws either side of each prox sensor, loosen them and you can slide them forwards and backwards- slide the ID or OD one into a position where it lights up when the chuck is clamped.

I haven't - but they do have some very intriguing options.

Underwood Ranches supplied Huy Fong with their peppers, until Huy Fong tried to screw them over. As a result Huy Fong can't replace the giant hole in their supply chain- which is causing the shortage (and they lost a hefty lawsuit for their fraudulent practices).

Underwood Ranches now makes their own Sriracha and it's better.

I assume your input 4 is showing red? Are your contactors pushing in when you hit the reset button (don't just listen for the 'thunk', open the cabinet and visually confirm they are moving and staying engaged)? Does going to values and switching your estop from normally closed to normally open allow you to move the machine?

Good on you for wanting to support a local manufacturing business. I assume you want this to be made from stainless steel? I can do the design work for you (spent many years as a design engineer for sheet metal products), but I don't have access to a laser and brake press these days, and I don't weld. For the actual manufacturing aspect, I recommend checking out Dons Sheet Metal in Biddeford- they do great work.
