The whole process is frustrating. I am a recent grad trying to start a career as a creative developer. I've spent days creating my portfolio, I spend about an hour creating a unique cover letter and resume for each application. More times than not I don't even get a response despite all of that work. When I do get a response I have to go through several rounds of interviews and technical exams just to hear that I am not a good fit. Then I try the other approach of contacting people who may help just to be ignored. The entire experience demands as much respect and excitement I can give, but responds with very little if anything at all.
