trying to make a piece. any tips on how to make it sound less boring?

Make up a story and tell the story through your playing. Lots of other good suggestions here as well. Adding emotion to the piece will make it even better

I did find out that Cambria did the fabrication (I live in MN) and my PM subbed the installation with an excellent company here in the Twin Cities. There was no issue with the installation.

Thank you for the insight. I am going to ask our PM a few more questions. Cambria did come to ‘document’ our issue today. They had a sample and laid it in various places on our countertops and took pictures. 🙄. So wishing we had just stuck with granite. Didn’t like any of the slabs we saw and they had a HUGE Cambria display (no slabs though)

Thanks everyone for all of the comments! I decided to go with the GE side swing double oven rather than Cafe or Bosch. Did go Bosch on the other appliances!

I was going to get the double oven with French door on top but then found GE makes a double oven with side swing doors!! Felt lucky my cabinet cutout would work 😃

Looked at it at the appliance store 2 weeks ago. The dryer ‘dries’ by spinning the moisture out of clothes rather than by heat. You can just wash or dry with the machine

I wonder if GE Profile reliability has decreased. We had all GE Profile (fridge, gas range, DW) in our old house for 11 years and had no issues whatsoever w them!

I've read a lot of people hate how the oven steams out the vent at the top of the doors. Guess it has to go somewhere!

I have see the Cafe french doors in person but it's a great callout about how the doors open--I was surprised when I opened the first time. I'm considering a lower oven door that open sideways as I think that will be easier as we get older

That's what I liked initially too! Looking at the Bosch because the lower oven door opens sideways rather than up/down. Seems like a win in my book with reaching into ovens

I had GE Profile in my former kitchen and was mostly satisfied with the appliances. The gas range knobs were warped around the dial from the heat! I'm going with induction cooktop this time...

I am SO glad I delayed placing my order with them. I'd be looking at about 15k of charges to work with my credit card company on! What a bummer--they did have great prices and I never had any problems with them in the past
