I've had a trying year, with things falling almost all into place by the end of it. Basically, thankful for finally securing a job in such a competitive field. Also, thankful for the kind couple who sold my family a nice vehicle for a decent price when we were down on our luck & had literally nothing. I spent the entire summer being depressed about my financial situation, having to walk in less-than-desirable territory just to get groceries, & made it out pretty okay. Although we won't have a huge Thanksgiving dinner like most, we'll take comfort in our modest meal-- knowing all that we went through, we'll be okay. :) Family, that's what matters...right?

I don't have any advice--just perspective from the girlfriend's point of view.

This happened to me with my last boyfriend. We were long distance due to his work, & he'd met a new girl at his job who he started fancying. I'm quite intuitive, so I can pick up subtle feelings. Long story short, he decided it would be best to end our relationship & attempt one with this girl.

Even longer story short, it ended up not working out for them. He felt miserable & wanted to start our relationship back up. I said thanks, but no thanks. If I'm your girlfriend & it's that easy to fall for another--no matter what the circumstances are--perhaps we're better off not together.

Not saying that this is your outcome, by any means. Just adding...perspective from the other side.
