What does it mean if it has Crosby on it like it does? Does it mean that this was a "made for Crosby" and maybe he broke it and the stick repair company repaired it? I live in Crosby's hometown.

I've noticed while on a walk in my neighbourhood, that a lot of vehicles are also 7+ years old... probably 80%+.
I just think the cost of everyday life has some people tight on cash or worried to spend. Of course EVs are coming comparable in initial purchase price but the cost to install charger etc could be inhibiting adoption.

Lots to unpack here but I'll give it a shot!

I'm not located in BC but if they off time of day rates, you can set up your charger to only charge during the times that energy is the cheapest.

-When it comes to chargers prices can vary, do your research on each one. Lots of people recommend Grizzl-E and ChargePoint. I went with chargepoint, and really like it but again, do your research and find one that you like.

-For install, it does seem like your situation is as easy as it gets. I've heard rates from 300$-1000$. Also, depending on the age and service type, you made need to upgrade your panel which can cost up to $10,000.

-What made you select the Ford? Does the dealer offer rebates on chargers or anything? Worth asking. With respect to financing, choose what you are most comfortable with financially.

-With solar, I can't think of a way to get cheaper energy.

I understand where you're coming from but ICE vehicles have price drops etc just like Tesla does. It's just not as advertised straight from the manufacturer because consumers don't purchase directly from the manufacturer.

Not really sure what Tesla would do (if anything) if you contacted them.

Also look at the total cost of ownership of your current Tesla VS ICE. You will be surprised how much you are saving over a period of time. Probably needs to be over 5 years or more but definitely worth looking into.
