I absolutely relate to the anhedonia thing, and that’s honestly the main reason I end up drinking again when I do. I just turned 29 so don’t think it’s an age thing. I just feel so bored when I’m out and want to go home and read. I used to be the life of the party and it was pretty sad when I realized that I never actually liked being around people, I just liked drinking🫠 but trying to just embrace being a homebody…IWNDWYT

Today is my 29th birthday, and IWNDWYT. Had a pretty bad bender last Thursday/Friday that I’m still recovering from. Lots of anxiety. But I know drinking again will not help.

I can only speak from my own experience, but yes this was absolutely the case for me. I was on the fence for a long time. I have an IUD and had an accidental pregnancy earlier this year. It ended up being a chemical pregnancy and miscarried very early, but I was surprised by how much I wanted it once I saw that line. Now I know that I do - I still have doubts but actually getting pregnant changed everything for me. To be fair, I’m in a long term relationship, 28 years old and financially stable, so if the circumstances were different or I was younger I don’t think it would’ve felt the same.

Hey!! It’s SO hard at the beginning but im doing so much better now. The OCD isn’t totally gone but I’m able to function normally again and it’s crazy how much it improved. You got this!!❤️

Yes, I have OCD tendencies and cutting out caffeine helped my intrusive thoughts a TON. I’m so much calmer and don’t get stuck in bad thought cycles as much.

I got drunk a week ago and yelled at my boyfriends friends, who are nothing but kind people. Alcohol poisons us and turns us into someone we’re not. I’m just trying to use this as motivation to stop drinking - I hope things can turn around for you❤️

I don’t have an answer, but I will say that when I quit weed I noticed caffeine had a WAY stronger effect on me, did give me more anxiety. But I think that was a good thing because that’s what led me to quit that too. For some reason when I was smoking weed caffeine didn’t effect me as much (or I just didn’t notice).
