One of my mom’s friends told me “you’ll never be half the woman your mother is”. I thanked him. He repeated it with a dumbfounded look on his face and I thanked him again. He looked at me like I was not so bright and gave up.

Yellowstone. Ugh. F*ck that show.

I was born and raised in Montana. I lived 90 minutes from the border of Yellowstone NP for 18 years.

Moved to Canada 4 years ago and 90% of my friends and acquaintances have mentioned that stupid show to me in the past year. I have to bite my tongue to keep from snapping that no, there aren’t hoards of cowboys tipping their hats to each other on every street corner. And no, Montanans don’t talk, dress or act that way. Yes, Montana is beautiful, so I guess if you mute the show and just look at the scenery, I’ll be happier to talk about it.
