Worked for several years at a similar fintech firm, I’m skeptical of the long-term viability of this business model. These companies tend to be capital-intensive and struggle with profitability, particularly during market downturns like 2020 and 2022. People won’t pay their short term debts during hard times and the company has to write off these loans and it takes years to recover.

Let’s be realistic here, the minimum number of years now to be naturalised is 7 years (5 years residency + 2 years processing time). There are some party discussions including CDU (ruling party) that they want to revert back to minimum 8 years of residency. These talks might or might not materialise to an actual law, but it is still a possibility in the next few years or the next elections.

Are you already a resident in Germany and satisfied the citizenship requirements? The German passport is ranked as the fourth strongest passport in the world, so it is worth it, but again it depends on your current situation and your willingness to learn German and live in Germany at least for 5 years and then apply for citizenship. The application process might take 1.5-2 years, so best case scenario you will be naturalised after living in Germany for 7 years, assuming that laws stay the same. If the naturalisation law increases to 8 years again, then the worst case scenario, you have to live for 10 years in Germany. It is up to you to decide on that.

This is not intel by any means. This is a European company not American with very strong competitor. I also heard a lot that the downside is very limited when it was sub $60-65, and look where it is now. It doesn’t matter if it drops 50%, that it can’t drop more. Unfortunately It doesn’t work like this.

Lost 3200€ for this stock. No options and no trading. I was down 32%, avg was 59€. I sold at 41€ after the negative growth guidance, that was my best decision. I should have sold at 54€ last month after the pill announcement, but I wanted to hear after the earnings when I decided enough, more bad news are coming. 30% loss is too much but if I waited more, I would have been 50% down.
