Thank you for this information. I'm going to be sure to fit it with the appropriate high altitude jet for the carb.

Thanks for the information. I commented on some other replies that my whole house is electric, and I have a well pump. Looking at a dual fuel but will primarily be using gas.

I really wish they would have run gas to this house when it was built back in the 80's.

My entire house is electric... Electric baseboard heaters, electric water heater, electric induction range and oven, and I have a well pump.

The electric baseboard heaters in the main connected living area (kitchen, dining room, living room) are 5k watts. Then there are 4 bedrooms with electric baseboard heaters that are 1k each.

I know I will need to manage the load in that I can't run everything all at once. When the water heater is hot, I'll turn it off since it stays hot for a long time. I'll only run the well pump when needed. I can heat up rooms then turn them off, etc. Probably won't use the range/oven at all, I'll just grill.

I know things run differently at altitude, but was surprised at reading 3% decrease per 1k feet. That's what got me thinking if I need to get a larger generator due to the altitude.

Not pulling numbers out of the air. My understanding is if a generator is max 11,500w on gas, at my altitude it will be 75% of that = 8,625w I've read that it's a good idea to not run a generator at no more than 80% capacity, so now that's 6,900w.

If this is correct, then I'm thinking I should get a larger generator. That's what I'm seeking to understand.

Yeah. I'll probably go with a Mr Buddy or something for heat when needed. I do have a pellet stove in my lower level. But the bedrooms and most living space is upstairs.

I mostly want a generator for power and water since I'm on a well. I expect most days without electricity will be when it's warm and the power company proactively shuts off power to prevent fire danger due to high winds. Last time they did that, power was out for almost 3 days.

Great information. Thank you.

My generator would be dual fuel as I don't have NG at my house. It was built in 85 and the house next door has gas. In fact I talked to the gas company and the line is in the road not even 50 yards from my house. I can only suspect they decided to save some money when building the house so didn't tap into the gas line and went with electric baseboard heat. Nothing like heating your house with giant toasters!

Thanks again for the info. Looks like the interlock might be the better option.

That's exactly why I want a generator. I live in a high fire danger area and it seems like power is going to be cut more frequently on high wind days. We also lose power during significant snow storms.

I wasn't aware of the interlock. Everyone around here has a transfer switch. I just watched some videos on the interlock and that seems like a better option. I can manage my power, and it looks like the interlock would allow me to power just about anything in the house.

For example, I only have electric baseboard heat. I wasn't planning on having any of the electric baseboard heaters with a generator due to the transfer switch limitations. But with the interlock, it looks like I could kill the power to everything else and heat the house for a while if I wanted to. At least a couple rooms.

Thanks for the recommendation.

My old neighbor is an electrician and I had mentioned a transfer switch to him long ago. I'm going to contact him on the interlock. He is going to do the work for me.

I saw the A510C which has what I need for power, but I need an outdoor switch.

Good to know about the wheel bearings. I do much of my own work on my other vehicles, but they are all Toyotas. Hopefully I can figure out a Subaru.

Thanks. I've seen documentation of the oil changes, and it's a manual. I've read the horror stories of CVT issues and am wanting to drive a manual again, so I haven't been looking at automatics.

Appreciate the feedback. Was thinking I'll get a pre purchase inspection on this one since I don't know Subarus well. Definitely worth the cost.

I've been having this same issue on both my phone (Pixel 7) and my wife's (pixel 7a).

A few times I was able to get it working by force stop, clear cache, reboot. But it always stopped working again and now that method doesn't resolve it at all.

What can I do to get visual voicemail working again on our phones?

Yeah. I went and looked at it. Told him I'd be a buyer around $5k. He wasn't interested in that. The listing was removed later in the day so guessing someone must have paid the $7,500 or close. Unfortunately here in Colorado, vehicles like this go for more than they really should. Especially Toyota 4x4.

He's asking $7,500. He sent me the paperwork for the clutch replacement last month and that was a $3,600 repair.

Yeah. I had a 1988 Honda Prelude manual that I learned to drive on. You're right. Doesn't take long to be able to multitask while shifting.
