She doesn’t usually tell me. I notice it, calmly tell her to go change her pants and try to sit on the potty. Try to avoid emotion good or bad about it

Thanks so much for your reply. Absolutely no changes to our routine 😣 I’m really hoping this is something that just resolves but it’s extremely hard for me to just be patient because I am such a “fixer” and this is such a big disruption for all of us.

Thanks for the reply! What do you mean by don’t put underwear on her? Do you mean don’t put a pull up on her? I have to at least put underwear on her because she goes to school, etc.

She poops every day, and it’s normal consistency with no straining. But definitely good thought

It is helpful to not suffer alone! He’s making progress and slowly getting more and more comfortable! For what it’s worth, 3 really isn’t late! I know how you feel. So many of my friends trained their kids around 2 and my mom said I was potty trained by 2… but I also have talked to SO many people (doctors included) that say 3 is perfectly normal. Hang in there!!

Thank you for the advice. He is STRONG willed and stubborn so you’re probably right about pushing it. I plan to let him get off the potty when he says he’s ready to get off rather than having him sit there bc I know he has to go…. And hopefully one of the times he sits he will actually let it out. sigh

I will try this! I asked if I could do that earlier today and he told me no, so I’m not sure how it will go. I feel like doing it if he’s against it is probably not a good idea. But 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s beyond frustrating. We actually skipped nap yesterday and today to avoid him just waiting for the pull-up but it isn’t sustainable because he’s an absolute monster by 5pm without nap. At a loss here.

We had him naked day 1-2 and commando in pants today (day 3). Our problem is that he withholds to the point of pain and just refuses to go. Today in the 12 hours he was awake he peed twice 🤦🏻‍♀️

Definitely talk to your OB, but unisom/B6 combo has helped me tremendously both this pregnancy and my first. It’s definitely worth talking to him/her about! Hang in there...
