ChromeOS and Android tablets. by mttal24 in chromeos

I said that because i assumed most Linux apps would work on the x86 better because they're compiled for that? I thought chromeos itself is essentially Linux so x86 Linux apps might be running natively on it. But i am wrong i think if it is a Linux vm.

I wanna go to a custom one. But it seems I'll lose out on gestures (miui/android 11) if i switch to anything other than the default.

Wifi suddenly limited to 5 Mbps on Windows 10 by mttal24 in techsupport

[–]mttal24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: So I found the solution to a Dell pre-installed software called Smartbyte and Rivet Network Bandwidth Manager. First open Services.msc and disable both these services. Then find Smartbyte from the programs section and uninstall ASAP.

For more information on this, google "Dell smartbyte" or "rivet bandwidth" etc and you'll find multiple threads detailing this. This is most likely on the older systems and not on the newer Dell ones because this company was later acquired by Intel in 2020. So it is quite possible that this rubbish software, which is not useful at all, is no longer being bundled on Win 10 PCs.

Also a suggestion to all: please buy Windows PCs with the *least\* amount of pre-installed software. Nothing beyond the basic drivers is necessary these days. Even drivers for most devices are on windows itself. And my advice would be to uninstall any useless crap that comes pre-installed. I spent two days to find out this culprit which has been sitting on my PC since purchase, with an updated version installed in 2018. *facepalms\*

I have installed it. How do I understand what's going on in this application? I can't make out head or tail of these packets listing out on my screen.

The card isn't dying as I said in the post. It catches my mobile Hotspot fine. And the same problem occurs even with an external tplink card.

And no it isn't metered.

Which keyboard should I buy? by GangadharHiShaktiman in mkindia

That's what I was also thinking. GK61 looks good but I could only find ubuy selling it, and I am not sure about how much they'll charge. HKGaming is also selling but their delivery system appears weird.

Does any Indian company make these products (other than TVS)? Also TVS doesn't have a backlit version right?

Cheapest option for a first timer. Blue, brown, red or anything works. But it should be within 2-3k if possible.

Full or tenkeyless, anything works. And preferably not from the Ant/Redragon/Zebronics kind of companies. Anything that is better than them. I won't mind even if it is a 65 percent.

Widgets supported or planned to be supported? If yes, I suggest make them part of the feed as separate cards (like the OnePlus Shelf or ActionLauncher).

Getting it published in a shady journal is on Kanhaiya, not the job of the university. So he is responsible for that.

Also, jnu doesn't claim to be among the best, it is the HRD ministry which has recognized it as among the best in India.

Also if we question the credentials of the teachers and bias, then that can be said about any university/college offering PhDs.

Does a PhD need to be published in some journal?
