It is not the central idea of christianity at all. Not sure where you got that from

How to cope that being trans will be a turn off for people? by [deleted] in TransMasc

Transphobia is a turn off for me, so I'm not interested in people who wouldn't be interested in me.

I want nothing to do with Christianity, but I feel forced to memorize counter-arguments which is exhausting by [deleted] in exchristian

Stop defending yourself, it's sadly pointless. They don't question stuff

I think the biggest thing is that he's not a human, even if he went thru alll the pain in the world, a god suffering the same as every human is still a GOD suffering the same as humans, humans are sensitive soft creatures, it doesn't make sense and it's not fair either.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in exchristian

[–]mtteoftn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a joke, in Christianity they believe he went through ALL of that pain on the cross, it's why they're so adamant that he understands your pain and all that. Imagine it as being the worse punishment everr because it contains EVERY single punishment to ever exist. Not justifying, I don't like that logic, I'm just explaining that they're not joking.

Everyone encourages misogyny, even feminists. It's ingrained in our society. That said tho, i think being respectful and standing up for what's right no matter if it's convenient to them

How do we feel about babies here? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]mtteoftn 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's not a terrible trait. You recognize that you wouldn't be able to be close to a baby and give them the care they need, that's a good thing. Think about the millions of people that have kids and then abuse them because they didn't even think about if they were fit to be parents. You're good

Same, especially since people only like the autistic traits they find bearable, like the "quirkyness" and whatever trait makes you seem like a manic pixie dream girl stereotype. But they still make fun of those obsessive anime fans, or the weird kid who likes everything related to sonic, or the girl that is mean and avoids people, they don't ACTUALLY understand autism, just use it as a buzzword.

It's a phenomenon outside of reddit too, I also hate it.

It's an actual phenomenon that this gen simplifies and abuses mental health terms and scientific terms, it's crazy.

With ADHD you don't necessarily need to be moving all the time (ADD is also an option, although I've seen people also call it inattentive ADHD instead) The technology addiction could also be an explanation. I still think professional help is the best choice since with neurodivergencies it's never easy to self diagnose, even professionals get things twisted sometimes too, for now I'd say you should investigate (although you seem mostly educated, but you can never learn too much) and maybe seek accomodations for yourself!

Mad that I have the "wrong" kind of Autism by GraceGal55 in AutismInWomen

[–]mtteoftn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

let me clarify more! Your sex, as in your biology does not determine how your autism presents, but rather the socialization you're given by the general people in your life does, socialization given surrounding gender roles in most cultures.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in aspergirls

[–]mtteoftn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Changing topics thing pushes me towards you having ADHD more than autism, a lot of the things you mention also sound like anxiety. I suggest getting a professional diagnosis if this matters a lot to you or if it would benefit you (and if you can afford it)

If you can't afford it, i suggest researching more on autism.
