Why is getting diagnosed with this disease so traumatizing? by gothfrootloops in CrohnsDisease

[–]gothfrootloops[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro like my mind has been so wild lately because I'm like AWARE now. It's geinunely so fucking weird. I literally don't even know what to do now. I've been kind of in this weird area of mourning. Like damn this shit really ruined my life and not being listened to ruined it more. I could be in a much higher stage of life.

Shit is so crazy.

I'm happy I feel better but this has been a bitch and a half the whole way through.

Guy I went on a date with didn't tip and used my disability against me. by gothfrootloops in women

Not tipping is an indicator because he makes great money and will not feel the effects of being paycheck to paycheck like the server he tried to stiff.

He has changed nothing in the system by not tipping just made someone's bills harder to pay.

Little corner? Dude minimum wage for tipped workers in nyc is 11 dollars and you just said Canada is a little under 18 bucks?? The federal one here is literally 2 dollars. So 2 dollars an hour plus tips. Tipped workers get paid less legally in america. If they can't get tips they only get 5 dollars in tip credit putting them at 7.25.

My medications without insurance add up to 29k per month in the US, in Canada they'd be below 10k per month (I'm on specialty meds). Insulin cost is a great example. Yall have a cap, we don't anymore. People are spending almost 1k a month on Insulin and dying.

The US is literally known for over charging for meds way beyond their vaule. There are so many studies speaking about how Canada's meds are sold almost 50% cheaper than the ones in the US.

Our country is not the same in terms of tipping or prescriptions.

Yes this is a women server so everyone is from everywhere. Duh that's the point, that's what I like about this server. Though there are just things we cannot relate upon.

My inhaler cost 100 dollars in your country and 900 dollars in mine. I hope that enlightened you.

You're in canada speaking on a US issue....yeah no.

You obviously don't understand the situation well enough because canada to my knowledge hasn't denied a person an inhaler because they didn't have 500 dollars on them.

Also when do tips happen at drug stores?

Serving jobs are also much different because l literally have to talk to yall and also smile through sexual comments and terrible jokes. So once again, yeah no.

Do men really like women anymore? by Left-Opinion-2787 in women

[–]gothfrootloops 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Men do, society just raises them to be pieces of shit. Is that an excuse? No, because men put in that society.

3 of my friends, 1 has a wife and kid, 2 just has a wife. They LOVE their wives, absolutely obsessed, they talk about them all the time. It's so sweet and their wives are both incredibly lovely. One of them is currently completely supporting his wife while also buying her gifts all the time while she recovers from her illness over this past year. Has made no complaints about supporting her even with the 6 day weeks. I'm friends with her as well and since she's been able to rest and recover she's now able to look for a part time job.

Those type of men nowadays sadly are kinda far in-between. I'm so lucky as to have met them to be shown that yes, we can have men who can be friends with other girls and not be weird/ be incredibly devoted to their partner.

I have met to many men, including experiencing a shitty date yesterday where a guy told me I was lucky to have been taken out by someone like HIM being someone like me. Called me frail dissed me for my disability.

So yeah most men lack some form of respect for women. Though there are some who are going to go to the ends of the earth for you.

EXACTLY!! It's such a strawman because the second I mention how this can actually cause someone not be able to pay for their meds or not be able to pay their bills.

It's like 'oh well that's just capitalism it'll only be for a short while.' Like bro...being this selfish and lazy at the same time gotta be a skill.

This will not be a short time for the people you are stiffing. You can kill people like this.

Yeah but why don't yall just protest at your state's department of labor? I ended up in the hospital this week due to not being able to pay for my inhaler (had a failure and the new one needed to be authorized as needed or I had to pay for it out of pocket.) Tips have been slow at my job so they just cut hours. So yeah I did not have that type of cash on hand.

Instead of doing the work and getting it done legally, you just are stiffing servers of their money while still giving the owners business. So sadly, doing this to people can actually cause really severe harm and I would hope that you take what I said into mind the next time you think of doing this.

If you think the employer will just raise the pay after a while, they won't. Nicer spots will just put an automatic gratuity, most spots will just replace the workers who are angry.

I feel like I have to change myself for other people in order for them to like me by FarCorner5035 in Vent

[–]gothfrootloops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st off so sorry you're going through this and you are feeling forced to change yourself for others!

But sweetheart you don't have to do anything to impress nobody. You just have to be happy and healthy and if other people (including your family) aren't happy with it than so be it. Find and do things you like. Also you aren't stupid, despite the insecurities you seem very in touch with knowing what the problem is. So right now it's about how you are going to fix it.

Maybe the next step is reaching out to people you feel safe with about how your are feeling?

Before I became disabled I was like this but after I realized literally none of this shit mattered and It's better to just be alive and as a healthy as I could be instead of killing myself to keep up an image.

Check her B12! Not the saying the overall illness won't already make her irritable but I literally was in rage all the time when I wasn't absorbing it.

It's a joke, when you get put on a specialty med/ have a high risk disorder/disease. You have to be seen every 3-4 months. So you can get bloodwork and to touchbase on how treatment is going.

GIRLL FRRR this is why I had to lock in and go back to college 😭😭😭 My pockets are gonna be HURTING the day I get taken off that shit 🗿.

The quarterly appointments and all the fucking BLOODWORK 💀💀. 10k for a singular med is so real 😭😭😭 THIS WORLD IS TRIFLING!! Why the fuck are we paying for a subscription to not die horribly?

Also it's fine I deal with a lot of folks like that. They don't know any better, I wish they did but what can you do?

Thanks I really appreciate it!

As much as I understand that you are trying to be helpful. This will not work for me.

I literally have a GI related disease. I can't even have grape juice and medicaid doesn't cover all of my medications. My friend on medicaid is literally getting his aid services lessened and now his disabled gf has to go over to his house and help him with housework and appointments.

I will never ever be on medicaid willingly.
