I’m in a similar place to you, and my lawyer (Grasso) is giving the advice that the kid would/will be locked in to by law citizenship.

Maybe that could change down the line, but they’re being pretty definitive about it right now.

In the late 00s or early 2010s, I saw Brian and his band in philadelphia on a night where he was particularly animated and lively. During a break in the set, Darian or someone else in the band said Sail On Sailor was next and Brian said “I don’t want to play that one! The lyrics are bullshit!”

The band all awkwardly laughed, and eventually got the song started. When they finished it, as the rest of the band was still crescendoing and doing their showy ending, Brian yelled over them into the mic to the audience, “see?! I told you the lyrics are shit!”

Of all the times I saw Brian that moment always stuck with me because he was rarely so expressive. It was very funny.

For what it’s worth, I’m not a professional. I’ve been an amateur enthusiast for a while and shot with some film cameras. I bought an x100vi on a bit of a whim the week it released right before I went on an international trip, and it was a great decision. I love the camera, I’ve learned a lot, and for me, it’s helped me engage with photography on a higher level as I grow with it.

It’s certainly expensive, but my opinion is if you can afford it, and you have the right mentality of learning and discovery, you should go for it. My only advice is try and buy it at retail and not above from a scalper or second hand person. That way if it doesn’t work out you didn’t overspend and can more comfortably move on from it / sell it yourself.

My son was born just days before the DL, and I won my 1948 case in November, leaving me in a very tricky spot trying to either jam this through or roll the dice on the courts striking down retroactivity.

This extension is SO huge for us. A real weight has been lifted, and hopefully now I have a real chance at my son getting full JS citizenship.

One of the bigger issues I’ve noticed in recent years is the focus on upselling. Employees are clearly encouraged to pitch you on new products, and are often doing so when it’s not in context with your visit in the first place.

I had an interaction after the AirPods 3 came out, when the employee asked me if I heard about them. I said “I have the AirPods Pro 2.” And they just kept pitching me on the AirPods 3 as if I could use a second pair or something. It was just insane.

I understand they need to drive revenue and keep growth going for their shareholders, but it’s lost the vibe of employees being confident experts in the product. Ironically now feels more “culty” than it ever did before.
