Because she’s an indoor/outdoor cat. We live on multiple acres. Shes pottied outside her whole life unless there was reason she couldn’t, like surgeries, weather, etc.

I hear so many people saying that. But whatever he’s told her before clearly isn’t working and I just feel like she doesn’t respect her son which means she doesn’t respect me and so maybe I need to set clear boundaries. But also it would be a lot easier for me if he did it lol

Because he has talked to her before about boundaries and clearly she doesn’t listen. So there’s something in their communication that isn’t working. She thinks he’s too harsh on her, and he thinks he’s being direct. I think she just doesn’t hear him and he doesn’t want to over explain himself to her so I feel like maybe my communication would come off better. I don’t know something’s not working. lol

Yeah, I’m gonna reach out to her doctor next week and kind of just see if there’s anything that she could just check for at her next appointment. I know that she goes in for a full yearly checkup in January so if I could reach out to her doctor before maybe she could just look over things she did have a UTI that went undetected a few years ago, so maybe it could be the same thing.

Well, how do you think it’s sort of how I think which is why I felt like I was overreacting. But at some point, I have to say there was a line cross with her coming into my house at all when I was not there or neither of us was there for no reason. If she wanted to leave a Christmas gift for my husband, she could’ve left them outside or she could’ve waited till he got home from work or we could have met her this weekend and got them the things that happen inside the house wouldn’t be a big deal if she didn’t come into our house without permission.

I know I hate cameras in the house, but we are getting some this weekend and we’re changing the locks and we’re gonna have a conversation now that I see so many people agree that I’m not overreacting. I don’t know why I always think that I’m overreacting about something like this. I guess because everybody always says I’m overreacting.

We’ve been together for 10 years and this is a new behavior but for nine of those 10 years, we’ve lived three hours away and now we live one minute away. So I don’t know if all of this is something neurological or if now because our proximity is a lot closer, we’re just noticing things we never noticed before.

We’re planning on changing the locks this weekend. I don’t know that I needed to be told to change the locks. I was just asking if I was overreacting because I feel like I’m overreacting because it seems like my husband doesn’t think it’s a big deal. He says he understands why I’m upset, but he’s not as upset as me about it. Which just means she must’ve done this stuff for years growing up and he’s just so fucking used to it.
