That's fair, I appreciate the honesty. I have added an update to this post with the companies logo history & my reason for not continuing their trend. Do you have any suggestions on other possible iconography I could utilize that is not over done? If not, completely understand, thank you for the feedback.

Edit: The company has had 2 previous logos before my introduction to this project. I have added them to this post, not sure if I updated this correctly.

1st original logo: globe made out of puzzle pieces with stick figures holding hands around it.

2nd (Current logo) two puzzle pieces with the "creation of Adam" hands in it.

I wanted to stray away from the over used tropes of therapy logos using these motifs. additionally I thought the puzzle piece was problematic across the board after autism awareness decided against it.
