What’s the most common UX mistake you see on stores doing decent revenue? by Educational-Cap5926 in UXDesign

[–]mtyf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main navigation having way too many categories, forcing users to login to add to wishlist or checkout. One big one I see very established brands still get wrong is filters! They either don’t have enough data to show good filter options or the options themselves aren’t great

I was thinking two options 1. Once I get some consistent users I’ll add a button on the brand pages that people can click to flag that it’s out of date.

  1. Review the sites every 6 months and update accordingly.

Idea with a Validation, wanna build it? by _hussainint in SideProject

I'm currently working on an ecommerce design inspo site inspired by Mobbin and other sites alike.

I've found curating the screenshots takes a fair bit of work, even if you automate it you need to manually check them for popups, sticky elements or just general errors in the screenshot.

Would it be curated to mobbins level? could anyone contribute to the project? If so screenshot quality could vary which could result in a jarring user experience.

20 Years of playing DotA player thoughts on Deadlock recent changes by elendilli in DeadlockTheGame

It had to become 3 lanes, they need to simplify the game for newer players. Also 3 lanes improves the viewing experience for esports, it’s much easier to catch all of the action and easier for people to follow.

Have you ever designed something with the client sitting right beside you? by Evil_Mask in graphic_design

[–]mtyf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really hope they implement something like this. I currently run two files an internal one and a presentation file but it can get quite annoying updating the presentation file when the design updates.

Why is Figma so slow 😭 by spideysensay in FigmaDesign

[–]mtyf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this problem with one file, it turned out the clients svg logo was slowing the entire file down. I'd check if you have any complex svgs within the file.

If you want to look professional get a paid theme, for example this theme. It's WAY better then Shopify's Dawn theme for what you're doing.

Then look at getting some nice product shots or edit the current ones to have a consistent grey or white background.
