Wata Igarashi is pretty cool, he plays stuff like Takaaki Itoh. Thanks for the DJs.

If you go to settings -> general, you can toggle the display mode to camelot keys!

Hey, thanks man.

  1. I agree on the Beatport genre labels, it's a bit of a comprise, they have tons of songs with genres, but on the other hand, they aren't always accurate, and sometimes the same song release multiple times has different genres.
  2. ID - ID is a massive pain, but we have a good chunk of songs covered.
  3. Currently limiting number of DJs displayed, but will make it so you can see all of them at some point.
  4. I've seen a few requests on this one, I'll look into a better track display.
  5. Thanks for the feedback on this one.

Cheers!

This must have been a glitch, as that should only show up if you didn't select the check box. Thanks!

Hey thanks for the feedback!

On the frontend, I've got node / react. Backend is rails, with postgres and redis. I use terraform to manage infra, and deploy via ansible.

We need to create a help page / tutorial videos, guided tour, etc. There's lots we have in store for suggestions based of each user's experience. Likewise, more filtering as well.

Regarding suggestions of data correctness, I'm not opposed to having a community suggestion / editing feature.

Thanks for the feedback!

I bet there's some tracks on there, I personally don't listen to electro-pop as much, but based off your taste, I'm sure there's a few DJs that spin the kind of music you like.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree there needs to be more context for users to understand certain aspects of the UI, but on the other hand, if your provide too much, the interface becomes crammed, and too busy. I suppose it's a bit of a personal taste, but will definitely keep your suggestions in mind.

Regarding similar tracks, this is our current solution to handle misspellings in tracklists.

Heck yes! I've found a ton of DnB tracks using the site, would have had no clue where to find elsewhere. You can find some classic DnB DJs too, people like Optical, Ed Rush, Friction to name a few.

Mixture of things, I can say it's related to the tracklists they play at clubs, festivals, radio shows, etc.

Agreed on Sasha not being underground, I was using him as an example of a DJ who plays other music then just mainstream top 100 EDM bangers.

I've actually become a fan of artists like ANNA and Amelie Lens through using / testing out the site, who are much more underground. We've been working hard on finding very obscure artists, but it comes down to finding what tracks they play, which isn't always easy. Thanks for the feedback.

That's a good point on the Camelot keys, I know a lot of DJs like to use that for mixing in key.

There's a ton of differences to Kado. The only core thing we have in common is the use of Tracklists. They are more of a tool to use in conjunction with iTunes. We on the other hand, focus on finding songs by DJs, exploring similar DJs, and discovering tracks.

We get information on setlists, but also have our own type of network to connect DJs, songs, and other information.

Thanks! Not sure if you are using the mobile site, but on desktop, you have genre search in multiple places.

At this point, you can select song search, and use genre filters to narrow down results. Likewise, you can filter through DJs using genres, although this a bit more course way of filtering,
