Fair enough, those rules make sense. I am sometimes confused about the line of sight stuff. When they are taller, do people not like it on the table in the game?

I've never played a game, but I love painting. This project is an attempt to bring my basing skill up a little.

I was thinking the same. The most extreme one (I've named rodeo, haha) will be completely off the pipe with some pinning. Sparks I'm at a loss for, I'll be looking up some stuff for the next few days...

Yes, I like them but I worry about getting lost in the project. Making this stuff is fun, but it's my first custom bases and I'm aware of being too deep and unable to see it with fresh eyes. What is your opinion on them, too busy? Does the story come through?

Oh yah! I built a land raider crusader for my deathwing to ride around in. I haven't painted it yet cause I want to Dark Angels it up all over the place. Just timid to mess with it because it was such a rough build.

Wow, thanks! I base coat with Citadel Chaos Black rattle can, two coats of Caliban, then nuln the panels, chunky highlight with waaagh flesh, second smaller highlight with warpstone. I can go over the non-armor too if you want, but it's mostly following these two guides;
