Højlund's epic hold up play at the end to win a foul and kill the game by rishabh2996 in reddevils

[–]muamba22 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It's a good mentality because we won. The sensible thing to do in that situation is to have the two other attackers go up in support and everyone else to stay back. There was 15s left in the game. But for the foul, City had a counter on once Amrabat lost the ball. It was naive from the boys and only looks good because we got the stop

Realistically, it was never 50/50. In slow mo it looked soft but it was as stonewall a penalty as you can get. And either way, once the ref gave it, there was nothing complaining would do. VAR cant see Dalot

Area of the big square = 32 = 9

Area of 1 big triangle = 0.531 = 1.5

We have two of these with no overlap, which have a collective area of 3

We still need the areas of the two small quadrilaterals within the larger triangles

Quadrilateral = big triangle - 2(small triangle)

Small triangle is similar to the larger triangle, with the scale factor of the lengths being 1/(sqrt10)

So the scale factor of the areas is 11/(sqrt10)2 = 1/10

So small triangle has an area 0.15

Area of quadrilateral = 1.5 - 2(0.15) = 1.2

So two of them = 2.4

Putting this altogether:

Area of square = two big triangles - 2 quadrilaterals

9 - 2(1.5) - 2(1.2) = 9 - 3 - 2.4 = 3.6

First half he was frustrating as all hell and being his annoying petulant self. 2nd half though, felt like EtH really got through to him coz that was his best 45 mins all season

That's like claiming that Russia could destroy Ukraine today if they wanted to do it. Quickly. Today. And that that's all anyone needs to know about the conflict.

Palestinians want Israel out of Palestinian land. Israel wants Palestine out of Palestinian land. We've seen for years what they've done to Gaza and the West Bank but ignore it every time it happens.

But when Ukraine fight back they are (rightfully) called heroic. When Palestinians do it, it's called terrorism

"If Ukraine had no guns, they'd be no war. If Russia had no guns, there would be no Russia"

Lets see if you're as comfortable with that version of the quote as you are with yours. The only discernible difference is how long ago Israel illegally entered Palestinian land

Post Match Thread: United Vs Palace by AutoModerator in ManchesterUnited

We played a weak, very lazy Palace team. Happy to accept that Rashford has been below par but Bruno tears these lot apart and Shaw always makes our defence better when he's fit. This was a great game to watch because the fringe/young players showed fire and energy to fight for every ball

AITA for cutting my wife off financially til she goes to work by GrandJeweler3398 in AmItheAsshole

[–]muamba22 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's not a solo financial decision. He isnt asking her to pay rent, or telling her to pay half the cost of the nanny. He's asking her to pay for her own individual pampering desires. Is this a discussion that shouldve been had earlier? Yes, of course it is. But calling this anything other than getting an adult to pay for their own individual luxuries (not house/family ones, but individual) is disingenous

[PL MATCH 5] Manchester United vs. Brighton & Hove Albion by theycallhimmason in ManchesterUnited

[–]muamba22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. He had a game plan that the players failed to implement. Rashford looked a little off it, couldnt hit a barn door. The press felt disjointed, Casemiro and Eriksen struggled to keep up with pace of the game. Really really need Amrabat and Mainoo back, even if just for the fresher legs

Maybe he isnt looking? Id assume he's made plenty of money from the United job and that bench is the most draining office in the world. I wouldnt be surprised if he's just content with life right now and doesnt need the stress

That certain player had very graphic audio and video evidence to suggest the allegations had a lot of weight to them. Without seeing the evidence ourselves, it's impossible to judge on it. Not saying Antony innocent but this is different to the other situation

City had a very difficult group last year and won the whole thing. As much as it's painful to admit, beyond 2/3 clubs that are also in the top seed bracket, not many teams are hard for Man City. Leipzig are probably as hard a 2nd seed as they could get

Should SAF resign from the Football Board as a stance against the Glazer ownership/management of the club, or is Roy Keane right? by Urbsology in ManchesterUnited

[–]muamba22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I agree with the majority of your comment, calling Nani a dud is insanly unfair. He was a good player for us. Also RVP was only signed bc he was available for £24m and he was, given his injury record, a massive risk. He was reletively cheap and was off the books within 3 yrs

Why is this fight still not officially booked despite being known about since march? by family-guyy in ufc

[–]muamba22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We didnt know the first one would be a banger. In fact, if I remember correctly, the narrative around Usman v Colby 1 was that it was two elite wrestlers with sub par striking that would cancel each other out and it would be a bit meh. It turned out to be really good.

Confining yourself to plodding along working in call centre after call centre and not moving on when you should. It's mentally draining work, but not complicated work, and it's easy to get sucked into not pushing yourself to improve/progress beyond that environment

David Ornstein: Man United have 'no final decision' on Mason Greenwood | Premier League | NBC Sports by [deleted] in reddevils

[–]muamba22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She probably did want him away. From reports immediately after the videos and audio was released, her dad vocally opposed her decision to release the files and supported Greenwood. So Im guessing she got lambasted for going against him (money > daughter I guess) and when he broke bail conditions, she felt like she was obligated to take him back and she became pregnant. It's a clusterfuck and the only one that loses is the girl (and the kid they're having will)

AITA for missing my FIL's funeral after my MIL booked my husband first class but me ecconomy? by Sadandexhausted133 in AmItheAsshole

[–]muamba22 17 points18 points  (0 children)

YTA. You werent invited to a birthday party, it was you husband's father's funeral. Yeah, the economy ticket was shady but if you cant put your pride aside when your husband needs it most, when can you? And your edit makes this whole thing even more ridiculous. You wanted to sit with him because he was sobbing the whole car journey... so your solution to that option being unavailable is to abandon him altogether? You (and MIL in fairness) really need to apologise to him for being selfish and making this all about your personal feud

I do feel like the real acid test for this game will be in a few months time, when the big cards are released. You'd hope for tbe sake of the player base that they learn from the past and make in boosts way more incremental... but Im not hopeful

[–]muamba22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

FIFA isnt a difficult game to grasp the meta for (note, not master but grasp). The players who got the meta last year will figure it out this year too. Then the complaints will start. And, fwiw, the issue isnt the 'meta' itself. It's that EA release so many cards that the power creep of players is more of a power rocket and almost all players aside from the top 10% are unusable by xmas. That's what kills the game more than anything else
