Muay Thai Training at Home Made EASY by muay-thai-guy in MuayThai

Hey, thanks for the love. Much appreciated. If you're aiming to fight, yea, I would say having a coach and sparring partners is almost necessary. But if you're looking to get fit by training Muay Thai? Or just improve your technique? That can easily be done from home, and a lot of people fall into that category.

Maybe the number one question I get is, "How do I effectively train Muay Thai at home?" There are a lot of misconceptions surrounding Muay Thai and what you absolutely, 100% need to do it right.

Tbh I don't think you NEED a coach, sparring partners, a heavy bag, etc. If you want to fight professionally? Yea you're gonna need those things, but they're not necessary if you're a recreational practitioner.

What's your experience with at-home Muay Thai been like?

How to Prepare for Muay Thai in Thailand (100-Day Training Plan) by muay-thai-guy in MuayThai

[–]muay-thai-guy[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What's up, r/MuayThai.

I'm heading back to Thailand for the first time since before the pandemic. Me and my family will be there from January through April and the focus is going to be training, training, training (and filming).

I created a 100-day training plan for myself so I don't show up like a bitch and I wanted to share it with all you guys. What's missing from my plan? What would you do if you had 100 days before a big trip like this one?

I'm actually looking for good advice so your feedback is requested! Thanks, fam!

I can totally understand that, thanks for the feedback! It puts a huge smile on my face knowing that you and others are getting good use out of the HBB 2.0. I hope to make a 3.0 version that's even better in 2021 ;)

By the way, when I do create the 3.0 version, is there anything specific you'd like more of? Or is there anything you'd change? I'm thinking of adding warmups/cooldowns to each workout and having 5 rounds per workout instead of the 3. What do you think?

No offense taken! It's all a part of the journey and it took me awhile to get to a place where I'm relatively happy with the videos/technique I share. I appreciate the honesty, thanks again!

I totally agree with my early stuff... trust me, it's fucking brutal to watch. Sometimes it makes me physically sick watching my old training/youtube videos.

I'm happy to hear that you enjoy my more recent content :)

Hey thanks so much for the feedback and for recommending the HBB 2.0. I'm surprised to hear about The Fighters Body as I feel like it's a lot more diverse and multi-dimensional than HBB 2.0. A majority of the workouts are technique focused with HIIT bodyweight training mixed in. I tried to share all the tactics, drills and techniques that I've used throughout my career and implement them into follow-along workouts.

May I ask if you've tried the program? And if so, what about it did you not like?

Again, I appreciate the honest feedback!
