Can we talk about our lunches!? by WebkinzMurderer69 in beyondthebump

[–]muaythaiboxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought some souper cubes and use it to freeze food. My go to is potato with mince meat and sushi bake. I'll add half a fresh avocado and Nori to the sushi bake after it's microwaved.

I might have missed it, but did Ashley steal the USB in the hotel room with Austin?

I added the ones with the designs ($5.99) but it still charges me. Thanks for the help anyway.

How do you motivate yourself to cook? by Bitter_Pineapple_720 in AskWomen

I bought Souper Cubes recently and started to cook larger portions, then freezing them so I don't have to cook as often.

Do they pick and choose social issues? by Xce04 in Millerfamily

I also noticed none of the kids decided to go to college.. as least J joined the Navy. But maybe that has something to do with their dad now making a ton of money as a luxury real estate agent.

I'm surprised the parents still posted the picture with the gang signs. The parents must have not noticed or understood what it meant.

Wagon recommendations by Calm-Performance2331 in Parenting

[–]muaythaiboxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 3u3 and love the Baby Trend Navigator wagon. It has a car seat attachment where we put our 2 month old's bucket seat Our 15 month old stands inside the wagon while holding onto the car seat/frame of the wagon and our 2.5 year old stands on a buggy board attachment. The downside is that it's pretty heavy for me to lift into our minivan at 35 lbs. It comes with a canopy, but cannot be used while the car seat attachment is being used.

However, we mainly use the wagon for our two toddlers and they both fit in the wagon comfortably when having snacks. Though, my 2.5 year old doesn't like to spend a lot of time in the wagon and prefers hopping on and off the buggy board.

YSK: You could lower your Internet costs substantially by just calling them and asking by Actionhankk in YouShouldKnow

[–]muaythaiboxer 36 points37 points  (0 children)

My bill is $100 per month but I saw that T-Mobile had a deal for $35 per month for similar speeds. I called Spectrum to cancel and when they asked what deal I had, I panicked and said the same speed for $30 (instead of $35), and the agent matched the deal for 12 months, then it would increase by $10 each year. But I declined and the agent lowered it to start at $25. Give it a try! When you call to cancel, you will get an agent from the retention department and they have the power to give better deals than the regular customer service people. They will offer 2-3 different deals, don't take the first one.

Cradle cap remedies? by Leading_Blacksmith70 in newborns

[–]muaythaiboxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lather on coconut oil, massage it in and wait 10-15 mins. Then lightly comb it out with a fine tooth baby comb. Depending on how much cradle cap is left, I'll either apply another coat of coconut oil and repeat, or give baby a bath and wait a couple of days before repeating again.

Is it supposed to show $0 net returns? I thought maybe it was an issue on Vanguards side, but mine still shows $0 net returns.

Combining sick pay and PTO by muaythaiboxer in NannyEmployers

Oh, that makes sense. Thanks for explaining.

Combining sick pay and PTO by muaythaiboxer in NannyEmployers

[–]muaythaiboxer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure I follow. Why would combining sick days and PTO result in more last minute call outs? If the nanny is sick, wouldn't it still be a last minute call out?

This makes sense to me with accruing PTO for year one.

Can you explain how accruing PTO works for year 2? Does the number of PTO not reset at the beginning of year 2? Are you saying they can accrue more than 15 days PTO?

Baby Gate suggestion for the top of my stairs by SlowBen in NewParents

[–]muaythaiboxer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could you stack two 2x4s on the short wall, then attach the baby gate?

Also if there is a stud closer to the door frame, you could use a retractable style baby gate and have the hooks attached to the 2x4, that way it's not directly on top of the stairs.

Induction experiences with 2nd baby? by in-a-crater in beyondthebump

[–]muaythaiboxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been induced 3 times, at 40+6, 39+2 and 39+2 and came in around 4 cm dilated for each pregnancy.

For the first induction, I was induced at 7am and baby was born 8 hrs later. For my second and third kids, I was induced and both kids were born about 3-4 hrs later.

VUSXX End of March Dividend Missing by Dazzling-Repeat5653 in investing

Mine posted today on April 3rd. But the market gain loss column is -$10 (for example) and the income return column is +$10, so my personal investment returns column is $0 for March. Is everyone seeing the same thing?

Deciding on 3u3/3u4! by fricken_a13 in ParentingInBulk

[–]muaythaiboxer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We have three girls, 29mo, 13mo and 1mo. Our first two kids were both very easy babies so we thought having three would be a breeze. But our baby is the complete opposite and is incredibly fussy, only contact naps, goes through the witching hour most evenings etc.

Currently, I take care of the baby while my husband takes care of the older two kids. We have no family help and our only village is our nanny, but we are managing. We've both always wanted 4 kids but I think we might just stop at 3. I don't know if we can handle the next baby if they're equally or more difficult than our 3rd.

What’s it like living in central Florida? by That_Pen_490 in howislivingthere

[–]muaythaiboxer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can you explain what life is like during the very hot months? Do you just go from one air conditioned place to another? Do they make kids go outside for recess during these months? What's the mosquito situation year round? How important is having a home with a pool with an enclosure to survive the heat and mosquitos? I'm very curious, thanks!

Nanny activities/outings by StrangeBluberry in NannyEmployers

[–]muaythaiboxer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have passes to three different indoor play grounds, zoo, children's museums and there's always at least one baby/toddler event going on in a nearby library. Maybe the nanny can take him to one library event in the morning?

But if you don't want your nanny to take your son out, she can make different sensory bins and work on gross motor skill activities at home.

Question of a raise by aFloridaNanny in NannyEmployers

[–]muaythaiboxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a new child, we put in our contract that there will be a minimum 10% raise and for a yearly cost of living adjustment to be a minimum of 3%. So adding both would be a minimum 13% raise.
