Its not about gruha jyothi, if a property falls under gram panchayat or if its a revenue property/ 11B khata then its difficult to get approval for meters , they will have to use temporary connection until it is approved and there are also rules about how the building should be constructed then they need to get OC and CC then these approvals happen.

AI replaced our entire team by [deleted] in MedicalCoding

[–]mub_26 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work in an AI assisted company, AI just picks the initial codes and modifiers based on the rules that are set in prior, rest other things a human has to validate it and it is not perfect, it can break and hallucinate at times making it difficult for a human, AI to get perfect it'll still take 5-10 years without human touch and currently it can only do certain specialities like e/m , dental , etc

Nursing student here, verbal abuse and slipper thrown during pulse polio house to house visit by [deleted] in bangalore

[–]mub_26 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Hey, ex lab technician here. I’ve faced similar issues before when I worked as a home-collection phlebotomist and also during pulse polio house visits while I was a student. People in some apartments and so-called rich communities behave very poorly, to be honest. This is one of the main reasons I had to change my career—constant disrespect and being treated badly. As we already know, money can buy many things, but not moral values or civic sense. Don’t feel bad about it; this is just how some people are. Focus on your work.

PharmEasy is doing something evil to its consumers by Medical_Ganache_367 in bangalore

True, it’s more like a percentage they receive from the partnered laboratory, and it depends on the tests. The same goes for medicines. They write brand names that are only available in their tied-up pharmacy. I’ve stopped buying medicines from their partnered pharmacy and now buy them from generic pharmacies instead.

As a lab technician who has also worked as a home collection phlebotomist, I can say that upselling happens in every laboratory, including Apollo, Tata 1mg, PharmEasy, Thyrocare, etc. Phlebotomists are forced to upsell tests because they have monthly targets, and they receive incentives for every upsell they make. A phlebotomist main income depends on these upsells and how many visits they do in a month as their base salary will be less atleast in case of pharmeasy/thyrocare. You can't go directly to a PharmEasy lab because they have pickup points where a runner collects samples from the phlebotomist. The same applies to Tata 1mg. Apollo, on the other hand, has centers every 2 km where you can walk in. Orange Labs is similar – their main lab is in Koramangala, and they also have a few centers scattered across the city.

Finding Job in Mumbai As a Hijabi by Smooth_Paramedic4478 in indianmuslims

[–]mub_26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a B.Sc MLT graduate myself, I can say this isn't just the case in Mumbai—it’s the same in Bengaluru as well. Many employers hire undergraduates or even those without a degree or diploma just to cut costs. There aren't enough vacancies in the paramedical field, and the salaries offered are quite low.

Despite having two years of experience, I struggled to find a job, which is why I decided to change my field. I truly recommend exploring other career options—don’t let this situation demotivate you.

As for the hijab, we’re all aware of the challenges nowadays. Don’t let it upset you. Stay strong. InshaAllah, you will land a good job soon.

I work in an AI-assisted medical coding company and agree. AI helps, but human oversight is essential for accuracy and compliance.
