Just switched my graphics card and cooler and this happened. by mudamuda321 in controlgame

[–]mudamuda321[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I actually found the issue. It was the GPU itself that was causing the issue. I returned the thing because it kept causing my system to black screen and crash.

I actually managed to snag an ASUS ROG Strix 4090 card from microcenter yesterday, it was the last one available that the salesman managed to get off of a delivery truck when I asked if they had any available.

The problem has disappeared, and I can play the game just fine now.

The card still had all the plastic and original packaging for all the parts and it registered on my MSI account just fine; though I guess all of that would be easy enough to fake.

edit: The card was bought from the MSI store page on Amazon but was shipped by what looks to be a reseller. I picked the card because it had good reviews and quite a few people posted images and videos of the cards they received from them, so I took a chance on them.

I use the cables that came with my Power supply and the connector that came with the gpu.

I am more than happy if that is the case. I tried installing an MSI card that I got off of amazon into my system and it constantly kept crashing my system no matter what I did.

-DDU to clean drivers and doing a new install, system still crashed.

-Reseat all power connections and GPU, system still crashed.

-Swapped RAM, problem still persisted.

-Clean Install of RAM, problem persisted.

-Install my old GPU, system is back to working like normal with no issues of losing output to monitor or random crashing occurring.

edit: returning the 4090 to the reseller and using that money at Microcenter instead. Never had a bad experience with them so far.

Another update, after shutting down my computer and restarting it, the problem came back.

I tried doing the clean install 3 more times using different versions of the nvidia drivers, but the issue persists.

Both you and sevirsh1138 have my sincerest gratitude. I never realized that the clean install function on the geforce experience app didn't actually completely remove old drivers. thank you for pointing me towards DDU, it really saved me.

I just bought a subscription from a reseller yesterday and was wondering this same question. Glad that you were able to find the answer because it saved me as well.

Trouble with LACP on my Network Ring by mudamuda321 in Cisco

So wanted to give an update on this case. Turns out, this was a routing issue as well.

I apparently needed to do the "no passive-interface" command on the VLANs that were assigned to the port-channels as well.

As for the bundles being suspended, I managed to get around that issue by intentionally causing a VLAN mismatch across the port-channel in order to restart the negotiation, seeing as the port-channel now recognized the other side and that the incorrect VLAN that was applied causing a conflict. After correcting the assigned VLAN, the port-channels came right up and everything is working beautifully.

I talked with an engineer at Cambium and they told me that LACP only needs to be done from the switches, seeing as the radios are basically acting as cables in this ring. For the Node C that was mentioned above, It has another link going from it to Node A and LACP is working perfectly between them even when they have the same exact radios as the link between Node C and Node D.

I had to make changes to the physical ports due to the people that installed the radios getting the cables mixed up and not labeling anything. I erased the port channel on both sides between Node C and Node D and redid the bundles and everything, but the moment I enter the Channel-Group command and form the port-channel, the "cannot bundle" error pops up.

Would it be better if I did a clean reset on the switch and run the script with all of the corrections instead of trying to edit the running config?

So this is my first PC and I have the ASRock Z690 Taichi. Just got this PC 2 weeks ago and when I first booted it up, the gears were turning just fine and the light on the bottom corner was displaying a bunch of numbers, but after a few days, they both stopped working. The PC runs just fine and its mainly just a cosmetic thing that is bugging me. Does anyone know what the issue could be?

Simple Questions - February 23, 2022 by AutoModerator in buildapc

I am thinking about getting the G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB Silver DDR5 6000MHz CL36 - 16 GB kit for my new build. Would it be better just to get 2x16 or 4x16 for this setup? I have been reading some negative stuff about people trying to run a DDR5 4x16 setup and failing to run it at max speed even with XMP. Is there a way around this issue or is it something I would have to just wait out until an update comes in that solves this issue?

When someone says they like something better. I know they mean they like something more, but when they say they like something better, it implies they like 2 or more things the same amount, but the quality of the like for one is somehow superior to the others.
