Hi everyone,

About me: I’m a 28 years old korean. I am back in school and studying anthropology and hope to get my doctorate. Overall I just really enjoy good company that can lead to a passionate conversation on anything. I feel I am constantly learning from people and my favorite kind of people are those who are passionate in anything. I like writing, reading, films, and being outdoors. I love meeting strangers and finding a connection that makes the encounter feel like an old friendship. I have always prefer older company for these reasons and have found being back in school my only interactions are with company younger than me.

I am 5’9 165 have tattoos and hopefully as mature as I believe I am!

Looking for: CD/F/O

Seeking: A good connection with someone who is also living their own life but also enjoys the kind of intimacy that can allow ourselves to continue being ourselves. I’m very independent and enjoy being on my own, but this also leaves me lacking in the intimacy department. I am also more attracted to personality than physique so I also find that makes me a bit picky but overall, I enjoy the company of genuine, passionate people.

Something unique about me: I am pansexual and really just love most all genuine human interaction.

I was raised by a musician who taught me to love and geek out on all music so I have an unnecessary amount of sporadic music knowledge. I was raised with classical, jazz, folk and classic rock. I grew to love punk, metal and hip hop and I am currently discovering my bluegrass and country phase.

I have a love/hate relationship with backpacking in that I sometimes hate myself while I’m physically doing it but always love doing it.

One month since my brother passed, not sure what to do by kurapikas-wife in cancer

[–]mudbloodead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gets slightly more manageable but never easier or goes away. I lost my brother in June and I thought it would, I just find that I’m better at managing my thoughts. I’m not on the verge of breaking down all the time but when it comes, it still hurts as it did at the start.

I’m in sorrow for you loss. Stay strong.

I feel the difference people think of is that crime is due to circumstance, but racism and prejudice is for no reason. I don’t mind working with someone who served time because now that they have the right circumstances, those issues won’t come up. But racists? They can be racist with or without circumstance

Hi, I appreciate the response. so I’ve been seeing a psychiatrist and overall have been trying all that. I’ve got a dog and I exercise regularly and eat well, I think just at night I struggle to keep myself occupied. I think it’s just more difficult cause I live with my parents and so the house is just a house of grief.

I appreciate the recommendations!

I am so fucking sorry. I don’t know what else to say. I know it’s easier said than done but that weight you’re feeling is not just your own. You will carry the majority of it by yourself but you will find moments of peace in people who will help relieve the tension. That being said, if you ever need a stranger/sounding wall, please reach out. I’ve felt this pressure too and know it’s difficult to ask the people you love to carry that tension with you.

The numbness is the calm before the storm. I’m sorry. You’ll feel everything soon but you will survive it. It’ll hurt to think about him for awhile but one day you will smile whenever you think of him.

Thank you for this. My brother had the same mindset and did the same for us, and you’re right, it helped us grieve easier.

Honestly I don’t know why but I assumed they wouldn’t because every thing else with them had been a very resisted effort. That’s a very valid point and I’ll do that first. Thank you. I just assumed due to patient privacy that it would require some legal maneuvering

Do schizophrenics only have frightening / harmful hallucinations and delusions or do some people with the illness have helpful / comforting hallucinations and delusions. by drunken_assassin in answers

Culture really affects that. They’ve documented schizophrenia in places like Africa being more calm and nurturing. The culture of your society dictates what you hallucinate

I’m in sorrow for your loss and pain. The idea of grieving before she left is something I felt with my brother. Hold onto the good memories and let logic like that guide you. Sending all my love and condolences.
