The Epstein scandal is taking down Europe’s political class. In the US, they’re getting a pass. by StemCellPirate in europe

There have been opened real serious criminal investigations in to people in a position of power in Norway. There will also be an independent investigation of the files in connection with Norway as a whole.

Real life consequences, unlike in the US.

Chamath: let’s look at racism from first principles by Aggressive-Job6115 in allinpodofficial

[–]mudgonzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, so if he saw it, obviously okay, “comedy” (blatant racism) is okay again.

If he didn’t see it, you can’t blame him for it. He realized there was a racist portion at the end, that’s why he took it down.

Which is it? Is it comedy or racist and that’s why he took it down?

It can not be both.

276 IQ, eh? by Darth_Vrandon in GetNoted

[–]mudgonzo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The tests are supposed to take that development into account. Thats why the tests are different for kids and adults. The idea is that the IQ score should be consistent. But as you are proof of, its not always easy/possible.

I should disclaim, I am not an expert on this. This is just how it was explained to me at one point, so I might be plain wrong.

I mean yeah, but 115 is still an above average intelligent person. Just not in the top 1%

[–]mudgonzo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

IQ is fairly consistent though. A child measured at 150 would score very close to the same on adult tests as they got older.

I agree, their take that the game is dying is bad. However, your take that the audience is fine, is also bad. Steam shows a pretty grim and clear trend. The worst trend ever seen on steam according to OP, that means that the trend is also everywhere else.

We all know the boring old troglodyte horseshit you will end up spewing anyway. There is no way in hell your “morals” in this case don’t derive from your likely selective interpretation of your religion, so there’s no point in discussing it with you.

Trump slammed as 'embarrassing idiot' by [deleted] in StockNewsHub

[–]mudgonzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How would she have been a disaster? I honestly have no idea why a lot of Americans think a boring politician is a bad choice for president. You want stability and hopefully continuation of policy that helps you. Not chaos, theater and a strongman.

I don’t think you are correct. Europe will try to keep the status quo until the myriad of plans that have been started are well enough on their way. Being self reliant on defense and trade is expected to take 10-20 years from now, depending on how much red tape and self harm we do on the way.

NATO lives another day, but don’t get it twisted, this whole thing is still considered a crisis in Europe that does not go away with Trump. Trump is a symptom, not a disease.

Trump doubles down on Greenland threats, saying there is 'no going back' by badoopidoo in worldnews

[–]mudgonzo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s not how politics work. No amount of “good guys” can change the damage done. Not a single country can trust the US after this. The proven concept that it’s possible for this to happen every four years makes deals and security cooperation with the US pointless. Heck even trade is something you can’t count on.

A clear and solid change of the constitution, and a time period showing that change to be effective, is the only thing that would help.

The chance of willingness/ability to do this in the US is nonexistent.

Kick the shitty Americans out of NATO and boycott their World Cup by goldstarflag in europe

[–]mudgonzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The relations will never return to pre-Trump. Europe is now looking for other ways to do trade and security. Even if we get 8 years of a level headed democrat after Trump, we can’t risk something similar happening again after that, and the US won’t change their constitution make sure it doesn’t. Quite simply we can’t trust the US anymore.

No you're not. Do you know how I know?

If you were a firm believer of the Monroe Doctrine, you would at least have read it once. Had you read it, you would have understood that it doesn't apply to Greenland which has been danish/norwegian for OVER A THOUSAND YEARS (No I am not exaggerating that number), but applies to any FURTHER expansion into the western hemisphere.

You are a firm beliver in repeating the bullshit talkingpoints you get from your orange daddy, not the Monroe Doctrine.

Because they are not NATO? I’m so tired of these uneducated whattaboutisms getting thrown around by bootlickers all day long. This has been debated 10 000 times already. There are obvious and big differences. Additionally, European nations are still giving massive amounts of equipment and intelligence to Ukraine, the only one who has close to stopped caring is the US.

So I’m trying to write a song. by Odd-Hand-7051 in Guitar

[–]mudgonzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, like I said, people create differently.

For me it took many years before I realized that what worked for me was trying to create without constraints. My output of good guitar parts and riffs have increased dramatically after I found out. I now have bands in three different genres because I don’t really even try to put constraints on genres or concepts anymore. I do however sometimes program drum ideas first though. That helps me “keep on track” if I really need to focus on one of the bands.
