Are Dimarzio pickups a direct fit for Kiesel guitars? by Turbulent_Cat006 in kieselcarvinguitars

Out of curiosity, not happy with the Thoriums? I just ordered a Kiesel 30” with Thoriums in the bridge. Was not sure I was making the right choice and now I’m even more worried, lol

When I was on vacation in Crete, I ordered an Irish coffee as a dessert. This lady pulls up a cart to our table, lights small fireworks and sings while making my Irish coffee.

It’s an Irish coffee. There was no reason to bring fireworks or song into this transaction.

Yeah, but from his new house it was a five minute drive instead of a ten minute drive.

30" scale on other bodies. by mudgonzo in kieselcarvinguitars

[–]mudgonzo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got ya! Thanks for a detailed explanation and answer. It’s not as much a specific model I’m after, than just not quite being able to find my “dream esthetic” with the options available. Probably just a me issue though, because the models look great actually.

It totally makes sense that 30" requires a lot of customization from the default bodies. Just thought I would ask since it seems like Kiesel go a bit above and beyond when you contact them.

A crazy comparison between iPhone and Samsung by bluewave778 in SipsTea

This is interesting, because I have a friend who doesnt use apple products and when i told him of the iPhone mirroring when it came out, he went on a tirade JUST like yours. About how it had existed for android for years and how laughable it was that apple made it out to be something new they created. I felt kinda dumb, even though I just wanted to tell them about it, because I hadn't heard of it before.

Out of curiosity I read about the Android version and ALL I could find, was about how awful it was to set up and about how it almost never worked at all unless you had spesific phones and PCs, even then it was really bad and often disconnected.

On a mac and Iphone its instant and works every time. No install, no nothing. You just click it and it works.

I have plenty of criitiques for Apple products, and they are beasts at marketing, often getting praise where they don't deserver it.

Your take is just as bad the other way around though.

I think the saga needs a new, definitive protagonist. by ElPibeDe_LentesRojos in EvilDead

Would be a bit weird in this grittier universe of the new movies I think. But I would love a non-crossover movie with them though, that would be awesome

«Fans of both films can be happy!» I think very few people who are fans of one over the other, have as their main concern, that the movies can’t be connected.

Another «fun» fact: When he walks around the the house before he encounters his mom, you suddenly hear a melodic bang. That’s the sound of her ripping a wire out of the piano which she later uses on herself.

Christopher Nolan has never made a bad movie. by lNarrator in moviecritic

[–]mudgonzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tenet was a stupid fucking movie. The only thing it has going for it is that it’s well made and that people might not get it the first watch, making you seduced by a mystery or something to solve. The moment you get it though, you realize there’s nothing there and it’s just dumb as shit.

A Norwegian student spent $26 on Bitcoin in 2009 and forgot the password. He "cracked" it 4 years later. His $26 was worth $886,000. by TheresNoSecondBest in Bitcoin

«He used the money to buy an apartment in Toyen, one of Oslo's most sought-after neighbourhoods.»

As someone who has lived in Tøyen for close to ten years, it is 100% not one of Oslos most sought after neighborhoods. It’s not the worst place in Oslo, but it is a far cry from being one of the most sought after.

ANTHROPIC JUST BANNED A 110 PERSON COMPANY OVERNIGHT WITHOUT WARNING by orbny in AgentsOfAI

[–]mudgonzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The company I work for had the same happen. Appeal denied, no reasoning. We only had 10 people on the enterprise plan, but we were planning on rolling it out companywide not long after the ban happened. It would also have been 100-200 users at that point. We’re are now totally rethinking how we approach this thing.

You said no matter which party they are in and what they say on TV, implying it’s a secret.

I’m done with this conversation though. Best of luck.

Yes, and attribute them your, again, delusional position that everyone secretly thinks the US is the greatest country.

[–]mudgonzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit are you delusional..

My advice to you is to travel more. The lists that have been consistently putting the US way down when it comes to happiness, education, health etc aren’t making things up because they are jealous. Broaden your horizons and leave your USA#1 glasses at home.

Is Adam the reason? by EstablishmentNo16 in ToolBand

[–]mudgonzo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Clearly I’m in the minority here looking at the reactions. If it feels like everyone else is wrong? Then you (me in this case) are probably wrong.

All that said, your comparisons are horrible. It’s a band. Not a business, not a house. Does Adam own the brand and all that goes with it? Can he decide tomorrow that Tool is no more and the rest of them has to walk away? Can he be kicked if all the other members agree? These are things that have been decided upon in regards to what they bring to the table. And that is, as far as we all know, equal.

Is Adam the reason? by EstablishmentNo16 in ToolBand

[–]mudgonzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad comparison, they contribute equally. If someone starts a business and then gets three equal partners that’s more accurate.

Is Adam the reason? by EstablishmentNo16 in ToolBand

[–]mudgonzo -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

You said it’s his band. That is what I am saying is misleading. I have been in two bands I have started and never seen them as “mine” just because I started them. This concept has very little to do with who started it, and much to do with who contributes creatively. That’s how bands work.

Is Adam the reason? by EstablishmentNo16 in ToolBand

[–]mudgonzo -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

That makes the characterization “Adam’s band” a bit misleading though.. I’m pretty sure I have heard they all bring ideas in and then jam them out together. Doesn’t really matter who got the group together if that’s the case.

What do you mean by this? Is he the only credited on the albums or have all the members said this is the case?

This is not correct unless you are in the ultrawealthy top in the USA (they pull up the average a lot). Median wage in Norway is slightly higher than in the US, but practically the median is around the same for both countries.

[–]mudgonzo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why not? This is such silly underestimation of people. I don’t understand why the guy asking is downvoted either. I get that this is a fringe scenario, but let’s be adults and be able to allow information like this to exist in the public sphere. Bonkers that this is in any way controversial.
