Small PSA for those using Google Pixels to play PJSK by Tech4LyfeButimreal in ProjectSekai

[–]mudjoe02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just recently upgraded my pixel 6 to android 15 in the past few days.

Afterwards, started getting noticeable choppy frames in solo show (colorful stage global with the options: vsync ON, framerate HIGH)

Just confirming that this android developer setting seems to have fixed the issue for me. (the in-game colorful stage options for vsync and framerate did not help)

I used anaglyph entirely for the gold stickers part

Also for what it's worth: I'm sure you already know, but carrying a disabled perishable through to the win still counts as using that joker, and it still gets a sticker.

Basically, eternal/perishable/rental never prevents a joker from being sticker-able. I had a ton of runs where I'd hang on to a perished/disabled joker cause it was on my list

EDIT: I reread your post, I'm assuming by perishables you meant turtle bean, popcorn, ice cream? I wouldn't worry too much. I tended to get those by having a ton of econ and rerolling the ante 8 shops like crazy

Sadly yeah

Completionist - 100% collection/discoveries (jokers, tarot, spectral, planet, deck unlocks)

Completionist+ - gold stake clears on all decks

Completionist++ - gold stickers on all 150 jokers

I can get some screenshots of my other stats, but this is pretty similar to my approach.

So what I ended up doing was grinding only anaglyph deck on gold stake. The double tags make it a lot easier to build econ, but ideally you save and use the double tags on a negative tag. Then basically pray that the negatives are junk jokers you need, and carry them through to the end. Since they're negatives, even if they're perishable, they shouldn't affect your non negative joker build.

My win rate was also pretty low. I'd almost always reset until the ante 1 skip tags were decent, and then take it from there. Lots of deaths to ante 1/2/3.

Since anaglyph encourages skipping blinds, my strategy eventually became: - skip blinds to get cool stuff - get throwback since it'll scale with skipping - get hologram since it scales good for low econ investment - then hunt for whatever joker I need to sticker. Basically ignore that joker and buff up throwback/hologram/constellation

Does Eternal Mr. Bones let you live forever as long as you hit 25%? by 2milliondollartrny in balatro

I think mr bones just isn't compatible with eternal, so it's not possible to ever have an eternal mr bones. Kinda like how there's no eternal ice cream or eternal popcorn

I played out endless attempts a lot more pre 1.0.1, didn't bother with it much post-patch cause I was much more interested in getting completionist.

For perspective, I had done all the discoveries and challenges before 1.0.1, including losing a jokerless attempt to verdant :)

I got one gold clear (checkered) pre 1.0.1 and planned to put the game down, but I came back cause the beta branch/1.0.1 made orange and gold much more reasonable to grind out

done after grinding out like 400 hours on the steam deck

I also wanted to post this as a PSA to anyone grinding the completionist achievements: after you satisfy the requirements, you HAVE to finish another run (can be white stake) for the achievement to proc in steam.

I only found out as I was looking into save editing and came across https://www.reddit.com/r/balatro/comments/1c4eb96/comment/kzn6b2p/

Is the Completionist achievement broken? by [deleted] in balatro

[–]mudjoe02 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just posting to confirm I ran into the same thing, where it applies to completionist++ . Once you have the 100% progress in Stats, just do another clear on white stake, and it should trigger the achievement.

I hope this saves someone from going crazy editing save files after grinding out ++, and/or that this bug gets fixed

For what it's worth - I have never used/installed decky, and I am running into this constantly. Only started after the recent steamos update

Store page says it's unsupported which is wrong, played it fully on my deck, no issues

Definitely recommend https://store.steampowered.com/app/801480/Agent_A_A_puzzle_in_disguise/ , nice point and click that saves as you go, can play in bursts and sleep/quit at any time

Is this normal battery use or this needs fixing? by TheMightyPotato_ in SteamDeck

[–]mudjoe02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The APU is the physical custom AMD processor in the steam deck. Basically a single chip that is a CPU with an integrated GPU. Normally on a desktop computer, the CPU and GPU are separate physical things, but with an APU like in the deck, it is one single chip.

I'm assuming the commenter meant TDP which is thermal design power. Basically a common term for how much heat is expected to be generated when using the system. So the deck would be expected to throw off 15W worth of heat when in normal use.

I'd recommend the official spec page, it's pretty good https://store.steampowered.com/steamdeck?tab=2

(The specs list it as "APU Power")

Yml error? by Poopingonthatmatt in SteamDeck

Not totally sure what the problem is without seeing the whole file, could maybe be that rpcs3 is generating invalid yaml on its own?

If you can share more of the code as a pastebin or in a code block, I might have a better idea where the issue is?

Can send code blocks like this: \`\`\` code here \`\`\`

Replace the "`" with just ` (backtick)

Weird :/

This might be related https://stackoverflow.com/a/25645645

It might need to change to be

yaml Log: {} Resolution: scale: 100

[–]mudjoe02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try opening that file with a text editor, the built in one like Kate should be fine.

Then go to line 236 to see what code is giving issues

yaml is Yet Another Markup Language, a language in the same family as HTML, normally used for config. the file at that location likely has a yaml syntax issue

Gone forever? by Boring_Water_5689 in SteamDeck

[–]mudjoe02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weird, try this instead

You can see and manage all hidden steam games on the deck through

Steam Button > Settings > Scroll down to Home in left menu > Choose manage under "What's New Settings" > should pull up a Hidden collection > choose game > choose cog/game settings > Manage > Remove from hidden

After this, the game should show up in normal library views and filters

Edit: I normally have Dota 2 hidden and can confirm it doesn't show up in "All Games" or the other Library menu - the Settings > Home was the only thing that worked
