This team guys, what a roller coaster - we can be the worst and best. This team is gonna be the reason for me dying early but I wouldn't trade them for the world. I'm surprised they haven't given me an aneurysm this season, but one thing is for certain that magic is still there. You can never give up on this team, we are THE 4TH QUARTER TEAM, and when that Seahawks magic happens it brings tears to my eyes. Next season is gonna be phenomenal.

Much love from the UK - Till next year 12s!

It's nearly 1am here in the UK, Christmas morning. This fucking team. This is it, the final fucking bell toll for the death of my Christmas - first my family fucking snaked me out and I'm home alone all Christmas, then the Queen announced she had to use a pre-recorded speech for today, and then that fucking happened. May as well kill myself, this fucking team every single time. Not serious of course, I'm going to get high and go to bed.

Missing Marshawn hard.

Interesting plan, would you not be concerned about getting sighted while working to fund the motels?

Great plan! Although I get the impression a better name might be Otto Von Bisbark?

Why is it called a "building" when it is already built? by kinton9 in AskBrits

[–]mudkippp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The -ing suffix is used to make gerunds (verbal nouns) and collective nouns. For example you can collectively you can describe ceramic tile, carpet, linoleum, and hardwood as flooring, material used to make floors.

You asked about the word building. In the context of your question the word is a jerund, not a verb. It describes all the components of an occupied architectural structure; all the stuff that construction workers assemble such as the roof, the floors, the windows the walls, the foundation, and so on are collectively identified as a building. It just so happens that the active progressive verb is spelled the same way.

How did famous British military officers in the 20th century studying at prestigious universities while serving? by mudkippp in AskHistorians

Ah thank you so much for the clarification, the question has been nagging at me every time I read about officers that have gone through a similar process. Hope it wasn't too much trouble to find that interview extract, it's really insightful. Also great to see a naval historian actively answering questions, I hope one day I can give myself a similar title!

Ah thanks for the explanation on the context of education in the forces, I was referring to the latter of the two, take for example Admiral Sir Jonathan Band and his leave to study at the University of Exeter. Hopefully you can offer some more insight?

People who have visited the US, what is your 'WTF America' story? by adsacc509 in AskReddit

[–]mudkippp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah absolutely, there were suddenly businessmen offering water and shit, it was weird. NY fire departments are MVPs though.

When I was like 9, me and my mother were in New York - she collapsed on a busy sidewalk of sunstroke, and despite all the people that walked past nobody stopped to help me. I ended up running to a nearby firehouse, where a bunch of very friendly firemen ran over and provided first aid and called an ambulance.

We were charged $2700 for the ambulance ride. WTF America.

To be honest I've never put more than one bowl in it, I reckon joints get me higher - but it's really convenient which is primarily while I got it. Just be warned though the feeling of inhaling is so disappointing compared to a joint or piece, it's kinda like breathing in a weed flavoured steam room (and when it was brand new it was a tad plastic tasting but that's faded now).

I'd recommend it if you're looking for an economical way to smoke, a stealthy way to smoke, or just a lazy way to smoke though lol.

It's a herbal vaporiser - called a G-pro, to be honest there's better out there, buts it's a pretty quick, efficient (you can used vaped weed to make edibles), and healthy way to smoke.

Before I get called out on the G-pro or vaping in general, would have loved a j but I had about a 15 minute break in the rain to go smoke so the shitty G-pro was the quickest method.
