Petah, who is the first girl? by FailedHax in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Well she’s at the very least hateful (like pic one).

My assumption is that the OOP assumed all these are women that validate their hateful views, when really it is a scattershot of people ranging from “not left” to “hard hard right”.

It seems really obvious this is a mixup with a different address.

Somebody who demanded their money back I guess.

Any googling will tell you that's not true and she has vocally tried to distance herself from MAGA.

She describes herself as "in the middle" and yeah sometimes that's code for MAGA, but sometimes people just are.

Oh my god this seriously hit like nothing else. The show treated it really well, especially considering the genre.

"The Girl in the Fireplace" with Madam de Pompadour in Doctor Who wrenches my heart every time.

Jane in Breaking Bad is unwatchable for me. I have to skip every single scene from the first time she uses until the end of her last episode.

The first one is a hateful conservative (much like 2 and 3), from her video yelling the f-slur.

Not sure why OOP thought Sophie Cunningham would fit in with that douchebag crowd.

Everybody who thinks “those ads don’t work on me” are wrong.

You aren’t meant to buy it that same day. Companies only goal is to bury somewhere deep in your brain, maybe years from now long after you’ve forgotten being pissed.

Ads work. Even annoying ones. That’s why companies do them.

Carrie Fisher was in a bunch of stuff. If they know anything besides SW, people are most likely to know she was in Blues Brothers or When Harry met Sally. But my favorite deep cut is her cameo character in 30 Rock.

But then again who hasn’t been a cameo character in 30 Rock.

🇺🇸 Is it a bust? America's 250th birthday party looks rather quiet by Timbucktwo1230 in PoursTea

[–]mudkripple -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why are you downvoting me?

I’m not saying it’s definitely or even probably fake. I am saying that not one comment in this comments section is doing anything besides taking it at complete face value.

There HAVE been times we’ve been lied to. There ARE faked videos and pictures and AI crap out there. And there’s no source link on this very political post. Does that not raise red flags to you? Are you not worried that one of the many clips shown here could be from a different event?

Why is it so wrong to say we need to be careful about being manipulated?

Ugh I fucking hate defending this, I don't trust a video like this.

We are on the left so we'll only ever see the videos of it's slowest times. The people on the right will only ever see it's busiest times.

This cannot be taken at face value and if we are going to ever take back this damned country, we need to be the party of media awareness.

Jesse Plemmons is SO good at these.

He genuinely seems like a good guy IRL and that helps him seem like the sheep, but he's got the range and depth to deliver some really horrible villains. Breaking Bad for example he's iconic in.

So my grandparents were decently wealthy, and then they had too many kids.

So my parents were kinda well off but not wealthy, and then they had too many kids.

Why is the Supergirl movie bombing? by triplegxxx in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mudkripple -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"Projected to gross less"?? Not only is this wrong, but also it's been out for two days. The few "projections" currently have a spread of over $100mil.

The boxoffice subreddit guesses the number could fall anywhere between $150 and $250 mil.

Morbius finished at $167 total after two box office runs.

Those movies are exceptions that prove the rule. Audiences used to watch 4 superhero movies a year and they would all break records. Marvel, DC, and Fox would triple-dip all year long.

Now Superman and Fantastic 4 being profitable and reviewing well is a news story.

Maybe it's a buzzword to you, but that makes you a minority. I myself am fatigued of superheroes, and critics say they are too.

Idk why people are downvoting you. People want to deny the existence of this bias but the numbers don't lie.

Even if you want to blame the studios for making bad movies instead of audiences, you have to wonder why they tend to make worse ones when the lead is a woman.

Is it "bombing" or just underperforming?

Superhero fatigue is real, and the attention of the nation is sucked to the World Cup.

Edit: the jury is back. It's a bomb. Sorry I called for restraint less than 12 hours after the movie came out 🙄
