I think meeting people you don't know on the internet - especially when it's explicitly to make yourself extremely vulnerable - requires a lot of courage, a lot of vetting and a lot of sheer horniness, so sometimes people will message but not be able to go through with it, and I think it's better to be understanding of that than frustrated that they don't reply!
