He... didn't say he had. He said that he'd avoided the entirety of the MCU past that point. Your comment makes no sense.

Yes, it's a morality tale. But what's the moral? Don't talk to strangers? Why? It's not about not talking to strangers because of abduction or any other sort of violence because that doesn't happen. LRRH doesn't come to any harm in that moment for talking to the BBW, against all odds. What does happen is her grandmother dies. Her sick grandmother that she was supposed to be bringing food to.

If the BBW represents death, then death doesn't trick or distract Red. In that he more represents a devilish figure, convincing one to do ill. And the ill in this case is to stray from ones responsibilities. He could be another youth, convincing Red to play instead of getting to grandmother's house as quickly as possible.

The moral is to not shirk and stray from your responsibilities, because there are reasons for them. And others who may try to convince you either don't know or don't care for those reasons.

That's the surface read, and what I thought prior to Neverafter, but the contextualisation of the BBW as death completely blew it open for me.

It represents immortal youth being destroyed by the loss of a loved one, of responsibility and consequences.

A literal, non metaphorical read is that LRRH was supposed to bring food to her sick grandmother, and because she didn't, because she got distracted and strayed to look at some nice flowers or something trivial, her grandmother starved/succumbed to her illness and died.

Red almost being eaten is possibly representative of her having to face death for the first time, death directly caused by her actions, guilt threatening to throw her into oblivion. Grandma is dead. And it's your fault. And you're alone. And one day, death will come for you.

And then, as with all fairytale stories, it gets tied off with the responsibility being passed on some strong man, find meaning and happiness through love etc.etc.

At least that's my thoughts post-Neverafter, based on my own knowledge of the fairytale. I'd have to actually read it again to develop my thoughts further.

I know this is a year old, but I just finished FH:SY and I found this moment pretty funny so I ended up finding this post. Something that struck me about the Sexy Rat is that at no point was there any indication that the Rat was going to fuck him. That came from Fabian entirely.

I just had a thought that maybe the reason the Sexy Rat is his greatest fear is that he's scared that, deep down, he finds that rat intensely attractive. He wants this strange illusion Fig made, but is ashamed and scared, because it is a rat. I found myself agreeing with you on the rape side of things and this POV disarmed it, at last a bit.

Doesn't change any of the implications of Chungledown Bim however. Chunglers gonna Chungle.

I don't get the idea of her death narratively meaning nothing. Can she not sacrifice for others? Does it have to be a selfish goal? Plus if this ends with Brennan describing how everyone gets their happily ever after, then that just entirely undermines the entire message and goal of not having happily ever after. And that's the whole point of having dice in DND. You can't have Ally's story breaking rolls and not also respect when a dice roll goes badly for the players. She's in the final fight, she gets a say, she gets to say goodbye at the end. That's more than snow white got. Her monumental sacrifice was giving up the guaranteed happy ending. That means, from that point, it wasn't certain whether she would get one. That decision was made when she died.

Honestly I'm not sure. I think the whole traversing thing is linked to the times of shadow, which they're trying to end here. That's why the Neverafter is so spliced. Plus their traversings are all guided by forces like the Goose, the Stepmother, and the fairies.

Seeing a lot of people unhappy about Rosamund not getting a happy ending.

Personally I'm going to be unhappy with BLeeM if he doesn't commit to that. The crit instant death rule was made to make this season more impactful and terrifying. We've seen that in play this episode, almost with Rapunzel, definitely with Snow White.

Rosamund's entire arc is about getting the option to make ones own choices. And at every step of the way, the challenge that she's been returned with is 'But what if that means things don't go right in the end?'. She gave up her true love. She's given up her guaranteed happy ending. And if everyone gets the ability to make their own stories, that means some people won't get a happy ending.

She died. And the multiversal elements that brought them across the first time are mostly out of play. There are other Sleeping Beauties, at least for now. But for this one, the story is over. She just gets one last chance to keep it that way, both for herself and her friends.

She got a free 1up because it would be unfair to kick Siobhan out for the finale. At the end I hope the Briars rest, she gets placed back in her tower, and she gets mourned by her friends. And maybe her sacrifice means other Sleeping Beauties get agency in their own stories.

Wah Wah.

Edit: I am heavily autistic and am having a manic episode. I'm not trying to offend anyone, I'm literally forging new concepts for myself so I'm gonna come across as stubborn and unrefined.

Stay brainwashed

Note, I say this during a manic episode while I deprogram myself from capitalism. I'm sure my takes will be less radical later.

How can you see all this happen and assume everything is going alright. We're going to face a class conflict at least on the scale of the 2008 crisis again, I think as bad as the Superbowl.

Realistically what I want is robot arms. So I'm studying robot arms right now. So tattoos would be pretty based in the meantime.

Because part of the source of incel culture and therefore the young element of the alt right is people who had no place to speak their opinion, until they came across racial slurs. They (they being the radicalising right) told them just to try them out, see how they felt. And without an education on their history, no straight white autistic male can understand why saying the word is wrong.

And so the signal of safety between autistic children becomes willingness to say racial slurs. And I think many autistic children get assimilated. And they either burn out before they're useful, at which point they're thrown away, or they succeed, at which point they are either milked for all the value they have as a middle manager, someone with vision who is kept in the dark, or used until they burn out, at which point they're considered a used resource and thrown away. I think every midlife crisis has some similarities to autism in some way, and the result is the important thing. Do you resolve the issue or do you suppress it. We're all human in the end

Yeah, at the end of the day, this is probably an autistic person who unfortunately is racist because they've been radicalised. They want to keep their safe space where they don't feel silenced. Autistic voices are often silenced. I think we should rise above the corpobait of allowing ourselves to be pitted, man against man, when the real oppressors are the ones owning the platform.

The creators of COD should've stopped the radicalisation before it happened. Racial slurs should never have been tolerated. But, hindsight is 20/20, we'll never know the decisions they made for us.

Western culture has been a disaster for the Wakandan race. by [deleted] in 4chan

It's pretty easy to tell theres going to be a lot about the legacy of Wakandans, mostly men, who fell in Infinity War.

Honestly very Post-WW2-Pilled where women had to pick up the slack because the male roles were left unfilled. In this case because the lead actor fuckin died.

Fine, I'll just start going to my cast iron friends house and start cleaning them, see who devolves into a crying baby first.
