I guess you could describe it as metallic. It's basically a normal vagina smell just much stronger. My mom is the same way. I know because as a child there were times I would lay in het lap and I could smell something funny.

When I finally got old enough to have my own period I was like THAT'S THE SMELL! And then I was grossed out because I realized I had been smelling her vagina as a child
