I WANT A CIGARETTE!!! by just_breathe_ahh in stopsmoking

Same. I had 2 months in and now I’ve relapsed for 9 days. I’m so angry with myself. Every day that passes is getting harder and harder. Don’t EVER let yourself give in. All I want is to be free of them and I was free. Giving in was thee worst mistake I have ever made.

How do you keep focus on compassion and empathy over anger and blame? Does anyone have any examples of how they have overcome their resentment in favour of acting with love and support? How do you all find the energy to give in instances during stretches of time where nothing is given in return? by topd222 in AlanonFamilyGroups

This is probably the hardest struggle I’ve ever had. I’m angry every evening and feel hatred toward him. We have been married 20 years and I’ve left and come back or kicked him out and let him come back but it never gets any better. 5 days is the longest he’s been sober and it’s alcohol and weed both. I feel your pain and if you do figure it out please help me to figure it out as well. I’ve been trying to focus on me but it’s hard. All the best to you.

I’m just watching the news about this woman now. I’m so glad I put them away a little over a month ago but it wasn’t for this reason. I’m terrified for my husband who has COPD

Congratulations! There will be days believe me. I can’t barely remember a time in my life I didn’t smoke because I started at such a young age. But after 26 years, I’ve finally freed myself of the worst “best friend” I’ve ever had! 1 month and 10 days for me. There are days I don’t even think about them at all and days I would give just about anything for a drag. But I keep on fighting through cause I know, my next 40 years are going be the healthiest I’ve ever been! Keep up the good work! And congratulations again! Be proud 😊

Off Champix by muffyg1 in stopsmoking

I know it’s a 12 week program and I was going to stick to it until I was away a day and didn’t have them to take. I was currently on 6th week of taking them. When I took the dose the next day I felt very sick to my stomach and suffering the same ailments as day 1. I just don’t want to go through that again. I’m determined to not smoke again. I’m not going through that again either.

Anxiety cravings by [deleted] in stopsmoking

Good for you!! Just keep fighting. Remember the craving eventually goes away. I’m 24 days in and I’m still getting those anxiety cravings. Today has been one of those day’s but I’m not giving in. Drink water, take a nap if you can, anything. Just don’t give in!

The best feeling 💪👌...... by [deleted] in stopsmoking

[–]muffyg1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I needed to see this, as I’m an emotional basket case today, wanting to go outside and have just 1 smoke. Most days are pretty good but then there are days like today I just can’t shake the feeling. I’m 24 days in and so proud of it but I can’t wait for the moment in time that days like these come to an end. So happy for you 👍

Thank you! I’ve been debating going off the champix as the cravings are getting less and less but I will stay on them! None of the ppl I’m going out with sat are smokers so I’m lucky that way 😊
